Imperial Knight-Paladin

Description
1:1 scale replica of a Questoris pattern Imperial Knight, in the "Paladin" configuration from Warhammer 40,000.

This variant bears the classic all-purpose loadout of the Knight suit, not too specialized to any role yet able to hold it's own against most targets.

------------------------------------------------------

In-game, the Knight Suit is a 9 meters tall mech with a few functions I hope you'll find interesting;

-To enter, climb atop the carapace's left side (as seen on the pictures) - a sensor-driven piston will reveal the button that opens the pilot hatch. From the inside, you can see it's paired switch on the left side of the dashboard.

-The interior lights turn on when the hatch is open or the player is seated.

-Take control by either of the two yokes.

-Exterior lights turn on when the mech is controlled.

-Head, shoulder mounts & right arm function as turrets and are taken control of automatically by piloting the mech.

-Tap [Mouse Left] to fire the "Rapid-Fire Battle Cannon".
Tap repeatedly for subsequent shots. Reload time is a mere 0.5 seconds. This weapon is also built with a tripple-level recoil animation. Shooting will push the two segments of the barrel, as well as the arm back.

-Hold [Mouse Left] to fire the coaxial & shoulder mounted "Heavy Stubbers".

- Tap [Mouse Right] to stab, or Hold [Mouse Right] to backswipe with the Reaper Chainsword. Gun arm turret is deactivated during melee attacks to avoid getting stuck.
-If the weapon comes in contact with another entity or player during an attack, the logic system shoots off a set of beams hidden inside the blade to actually inflict "melee damage" on your target.
There are a number of safery circuits in place but this is more art than science;
If some of the Knight's parts appear to get stuck in attack pose, attack repeatedly while aiming forward & down to clear the issue. It's fairly stable though, so don't worry.

-Hit [G] key to activate / deactivate main docking units. These are for stowing the Knight suit.

-Hit [4] key to activate topside docking unit. Hold [4] key for 2 seconds to release it - You'll be given a message if it's occupied. This dock is for mounting additional weaponry.

-Switch at the lower rear portion opens the box holding the mech & turret computers.

-Cockpit has a life support unit.

-The mech has a custom walk animation with numerous moving parts. I would have animated the leg pistons as well, but the game can't handle those - hopefully only "yet"!
