Description
Updated to 4.0.21 - Revamped styles 7 and 11.

24 Custom City Styles.

The 18th 'Nest' style that you see in the preview images was made specifically for a portrait mod by alankraskow, who supplied the base art and the concept. Be sure to check it out. Arthrohominids (Species).

The 23rd 'Space Dwarf' style that you can also see in the previews was made specifically for another portrait mod by alankraskow, who again supplied the base art and the concept. Be sure to check it out. Dwarves (Species).

Q: Iron man?
A: Don't know, don't care.

Q: Ecumenopolis?
A: Yes.

Q: Will I add devastation images?
A: Eventually.

Q: Can I use them in another mod?
A: Yes. But please stay subscribed so that I know if it's worth bothering to make more. Also, credit please.

Q: Is this compatible with...?
A: I don't know. I also don't care. Try it out and tell me.

Q: Will the AI use them?
A: I think only in a premade/custom AI empire. No random spawn.

Q: Do I plan to make more?
A: Yes. I currently plan to have 38. We'll see if I get there, and if I do more after that.

@snackerfork does this happen without the mod active with vanilla cityscapes?

Strange. Maybe they fixed the cause? I'll give it a try when I can.

@snackerfork - As I've said, I'm not able to replicate your issue, but I hope this small change fixes your issue. Probably won't fix existing savegames, but if I've understood the code correctly, it 'might' fix it for future games. I would greatly appreciate any further feedback you have.

@snackerfork does your issue occur without the mod active? Because I'm running games with this mod constantly and I'm using nest specifically very often, and I never seen this bug in my gameplays.
Little Tee  [author] 2 Aug @ 10:37am
@snackerfork - I've done more than a few run throughs on observe and cannot replicate your issue. Not only am I not getting the can't build ships issue, but I've not seen even one random empire using any of my city styles. This includes primitives who have grown up and empires spawned by things like the federation origins. So idk.

Portraits WILL spawn if they have the right tags, so that's why that is happening, but I think ships, and for sure cities do not unless there is a mod telling them to do so. So I guess the answer to your problem is in the discussion thread of a different mod. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but the scope of this mod means that other things need to be compatible with it, rather than it needing to be compatible with them.

@snackerfork - Yea, I get that. Thanks for the reply though. Don't worry about the test with just this mod, I'll investigate. Seems they changed something though because I never remember AI using anything from custom ships or cities, only portraits, even when setting them to random = yes.

As an aside, I am currently in the process of refining the 2 city styles that ported the ST: Infinite city styles (7th and 11th in the previews), as I've never really been happy with how they turned out.

@Little Tee I was using way too many other mods to reasonably list (nearly 200 of them), but this was a new save game and I didn't have a custom empire. I can't speak to your mod specifically, but I also tested this behavior with only portrait mods enabled and the same thing happened to them. I can do a quick test with only this mod enabled if that's helpful?
Little Tee  [author] 27 Jul @ 5:02pm
@snackerfork So 'Nest' should only be available for randoms through this mod if you are playing a reasonably old savegame, or if you made a custom empire with a previous version of this mod.

I set all of the others to randomized = yes but I thought that the AI wouldn't pick them because of how the game was coded. I guess either they changed that, or I just never noticed.

It's an obligatory question before I start messing with stuff: Are you using any other mods? (a list of all of them would be helpful)
snackerfork 11 Jul @ 7:59pm
It might be a 4.0 bug since it also seems to be happening with shipsets and every portrait mod. No worries though, take your time!

I'm away for a good few weeks. It's very odd that random empires are using them. I can't really do anything until I get back in front of my PC. I think it will be an easy fix though.
