Description
This is a relatively simple mod that resets which soldier photobooth poses are available based on the class's allowed weapons. It was initially designed with Amalgamation in mind, but works with other soldier types as well. (By default, Amalgamation allows all photobooth poses, which makes sense, but you end up with a lot of poses with soldiers holding non-existent swords, blasting grenade launchers they can't use, etc.) It's a subtle change -- it's hard to notice when something you aren't expecting is not there -- and it doesn't always eliminate 100% of "bad" poses, but they will be significantly reduced, especially in mods like Amalgamation.

Base Game Photbooth Poses
War of the Chosen introduced the photobooth. There are generic poses, plus each base class has its own set of poses labeled with class name and numbers: "Sharpshooter 3" for example. A set can be added to a modded class (except for ones that can't) and will be disabled unless that soldier has the correct weapon equipped (except for ones that won't). Later, TLP (Tactical Legacy Pack DLC) added more for each set, but named instead of numbered, like "Final Exit" and "Bring The Rain". These do not require having the correct weapons equipped, replacing one or both equipped weapons with specific TLP-added weapons (except for the ones that show no weapon if you have the wrong type equipped).

Config Options
See XComAutomaticPhotoboothFiltering.ini for settings. You can set it to only affect Amalgamation classes and/or mark individual classes to be ignored. There are also settings for which weapon(s) to enable each set of poses, along with descriptions of the various exceptions to the rules.

Compatibility
This mod only affects which poses are available, so mods like Photobooth Poses UI List Fix are compatible. Also, mods that add additional poses typically add them to the generic pose set, which this mod doesn't touch, so should all also be compatible.

Highlander is required.

If you like what I'm doing, you can leave a tip at my Ko-fi[ko-fi.com] page. It's not required, but I do appreciate it!

No, unfortunately not. You can use it to disable all the poses from every class, but the game engine will still create a photo at the end of the mission (it'll be limited to non-class-specific poses, but the photo will still happen).

I get where you are coming from, it's a little jarring to barely escape on the last turn of a VIP mission and then take a photo with everyone gathered in front of a hole created during the fight. Which doesn't make any sense timing-wise.

Can this mod be used to disable the photos in general? There was another mod that tried this but it had some strange, unknown hard-coded conflict with a psionics overhaul I use.

The idea of stopping to pose while escaping with your life just doesn't fit the theme of WotC to me...

Even more cool photobooth stuff! Yay! Thanks for creating this!
