Introduction
In mechabellum, many units have one or more counter units. Some other Guides and Tier-Lists exist that list the specific counters for each unit.

I build a tool on that knowledge, which rates all units into a tier list of most probable counter units for any given combination of enemy units.

Unit Matrix
The tool uses a counter matrix, which partly depends on other publicly available sources and partly on my own measurements within the games simulator.

Mostly, I used the following website
https://mechamonarch.com/guide/mechabellum-counters/

As well as another guide. I found the idea of pairing units of equal cost within the games simulator very straight forward. Details can be found here:

In general I followed the notation of the above mentioned guide. All counters of a given unit are rated within different tier system:
  • S: Unit is a hard counter
  • A: Unit is almost a counter
  • B: Unit wins, but is about half damaged
  • C: Unit wins, but is nearly dead
  • D: Unit looses, but does some damage to the opponent
  • E: Unit is countered

For the internal matrix, I compiled the available information and measured the Tarantula as well as Farseer on my own. Here is the resulting unit matrix, which is used internally:

For the necessary calculations the tiers are translated into numbers as follows:
S = 5
A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
E = 0
Tool
Using the web-tool, you can estimate the best counter units, given on or more units on the enemy board.

Just choose the units on the enemy board:

And get an estimation of the best counter units:

Disclaimer:
All the units are measured without any tech and without positioning. So, the counter units given, may not be the best choice within a real game with all the different types of tech and positioning.

Anyhow, I hope this is helpful to start with the game and to give fast ideas of potential counter units for a given opponent army.

Something's not right. You have both mustangs and scorpions losing to crawlers.

I believe this needs to be updated to reflect the new Sabertooth and include the Raiden as well.

Love the concept and initial execution. Defs an issue with its accuracy. It's saying using a Tarantula is an S counter to a single Sabertooth?! It's totally D-tier against it.

I've been wanting to see something like this for a long time. It’s incredibly useful, both for people learning the game and for veterans like me to experiment with fun unit compositions without overthinking it. Congratulations on this work! If I had more time, I would have loved to work on an assistant that suggests the most optimized unit based on those already present on the field. It would be fascinating to see how that could unfold!

Added Tech to some special Units. For example a sniper with Anti-Air.
