Chimera Creation

Description
REQUIRES PREPATCHER (or Harmony, but I recommend Prepatcher for this mod)!

NEW: There's now a GitHub repository for this mod! I can't link it here, but the name of it is "Choosechee/Chimera-Creation".

When I first saw the chimeras from the Anomaly DLC, I wanted to have a friendly one so badly. Many other people have expressed a similar desire. Alas, for whatever reason, Ludeon didn't make it possible to obtain a tame one. Thankfully, we have modding to fix problems like this! This mod allows you to create a tame chimera. They have advanced trainability, and have rage speed just like normal chimeras. Now you can have a giant, fluffy, so ugly it's cute guard dog (bear/boar/warg/hyena/rat/lion??) for your colony!

How do I create one?

To create a chimera, you need to research a new chimera creation ritual that's unlocked when you encounter wild chimeras for the first time (don't worry if you want to add this mid-save, it'll automatically be unlocked if you already encountered one). To perform the ritual, you need a shard and one or more animals. The meat yield of the animals must altogether be at least 151 (the meat yield of a chimera), or the ritual will only turn them into a pile of twisted meat. Any excess will also be refunded as twisted meat. Also note that the ritual can fail and create a hostile fleshbeast instead!

Depending on what animals you use, the chimera created will be a specific form!

Dangers!

Like wargs and ghouls, chimeras can only eat raw meat and corpses. Just like ghouls, they will become permanently hostile when hungry for too long. Also keep in mind that they are pack hunters. You may have a situation on your hands if multiple chimeras are hungry... You should also be careful if trying to slaughter them.

A new prosthetic
There is a new prosthetic for tame chimeras that's unlocked with the same research as the ritual. It's an alternate adrenal heart for chimeras that increases the strength of their rage speed. In particular, it increases the speed gain and makes it increase their attack speed. As a drawback, it increases their hunger rate and causes pain when not in rage speed.

Inhumanization interaction
Pawns who are inhumanized act as though they have +12 animals skill when interacting with chimeras. This means they effectively have a floor of 12 skill for chimeras. So, you'll have no problem running an inhumanized colony that uses tame chimeras!

Settings
There are some settings for this mod. Settings include:

Preventing chimeras from betraying
Making chimera betrayal able to be reversed
Offset the meat required for the ritual
Making chimeras normal carnivores who can eat cooked and processed foods
Letting you tame wild chimeras (I don't recommend this setting though)

Mod cross-compatibility
Animal implant mods should work with chimeras. As shown earlier in a picture, other animals from mods can determine what form a created chimera takes. Finally, the psychic recruiter from More Archotech Garbage will work to tame a wild chimera! This will work regardless of the settings, and I don't not recommend it!

Future plans
I plan to add some more prosthetics and a few new features to this mod in the future. After that, however, I plan to make a way to get a friendly version of every Anomaly entity! Stay tuned for that!

Dont know why the Rimworld team didnt turn the chimera into an animal class so we can tame or use the sentient catalyst. Yet we can tame the Hive Queen. :steamfacepalm:
