Description
It's transhumanist, Tynan!

Restores the rightful name for the trait currently known as 'Body Modder' to 'Transhumanist' after it was changed in 1.3.3066 because I like it more. That's it. That's the entire mod.

What does this mod do?

If you need the specifics, this is just a set of XML patches that renames every reference of 'Body Modder' into 'Transhumanist' and does not interfere with gameplay in any aspect. This mod also does not restore the original names for Body Modder (Prosthophile) or Body Purist (Prosthophobe). Additionally, this mod contains additional patches to cover the additional stages added by Better Transhumanists if it's also loaded.

Compatibility
  • Should be safe to add to save games. It is never safe to remove a mod from a save, but removing this mod should not cause significant issues.

  • Compatible with and contains patches for Better Transhumanists, just load this mod after it.

  • Yes, it works with Combat Extended.

Actually, the reason why they changed it was because in the Ideology DLC, they added the Transhumanist meme for Ideologions, and they didn't want the trait to be confused with the meme, but as you say, you don't use DLCs yourself, so the change would just be a downgrade for you. I totally get it, by the way. Body Modder is a stupid name.

Hey thanks for this. This change always bothers me when I come across it in game. In regards to your below comment Bio-Transhumanism exists too.

@Gerewoatle Personally I understand why it was changed especially as there are other methods than cybernetics that the trait bonuses now, though I still prefer it as transhumanist as I don’t use DLCs like Biotech in my run. Also the connotation thing, as you said.

This was always a dumb change. When I see "body modder" I don't think cybernetic enhancement, I think of psychologically disturbed people cutting off half their fingers with a box cutter because it fits their "internal aesthetic" or whatever.
