Description
RP_Vernal_cruiser is a combination of the rp_highland and all previous Cruiser maps combined to bring you this final map in the official series of cruiser maps!

The Cruiser in this project was a more faithful retexture for the Halo Community. This map brings the entire Halo Community a full ship and ground area to play with. Though, some things had to be cut such as sim rooms, the resources have gone to a great quality for the ground area of the map!



Map Itself
  • Requires nothing to run
  • Comes with a NodeGraph for easier load in (ground area has no nodes)
  • Fully NavMesh
  • Accommodate 128 players
  • Dynamic environment and sound design.
  • Hyper optimization (nearly every room is optimized) Ontop of prop & ent render distances, Z-clipping, and chunk load areas.
  • Contains a full interior ship with ODST bay and working pods, a full map sized ground area, and 4 env-sims for training.
  • Ship offset from the center of the map to the corner to prevent ODST pods from landing in key location.

Ship Features
  • Redesigned layout to be shorter travel time to most things on 1st floor
  • Theater/OOC lounge
  • Messhall/OOC lounge
  • Court room
  • Alot of bunks space
  • A good sized debriefing room thats located at the end of the bunks
  • Multi-purpose (empty) rooms
  • Armory/Supply room
  • A dedicated brig - 6 cells, 2 solitary. 'in use' lights just outside the cells.
  • GameMaster room - can control everything. requires Noclip, located behind Main Cargo Bay (MCB)
  • Full 4 region sim rooms (Env-Sims), fit with campaign mode with it. and spectating section.
  • A Standard Sim/cargo area on 2nd floor
  • 4 individual navy offices
  • Admiral room with protection
  • 2 navy bunks (enlisted and officer)
  • Computer/server room
  • A multi-purpose room for navy

More Ship Details
  • Every sim can be run at the same time (x4 env-sims, city, sandbox) if enough people want to run them
  • A better way to contain new players - comes with a "need trainer, please" button.
  • Some areas are now color coded to keep players from trespassing.
  • Blast doors added to access halls to divert players to other ways to getting to other floors (for event purposes, activated only via GM-room)
  • Added background sounds to make ship feel more alive, such as the sound of active computers and air vents.
  • Working bacta LLS tanks in medical
  • Silent alarm board in security section to call security better

Ground Features
  • Ground area consists of 6 main locations. Town, mountain complex, base, black-site, swamp, and hidden bunker
  • All buildings are enter-able.
  • The entirety of the ground area has been given active soundscapes to keep it sounding alive
  • Hidden trapdoor in shack leading into cave cavity and high-tech bunker
  • Mountain base that holds a research center
  • Base in corner of ground area for standard troop
  • Small town with undetonated surprise
  • Location in other corner of map housing a 'black-site' detention base
  • Misc snow village
  • Swamp listening post
  • Hill listening post

A: They are marked, and show in single player only due to engine limitation.



SIMS
The environmental Sim area is broken into 4 parts, Tundra, Woodlands, Desert, and City (kill house). each area has its own lighting, and its own lighting control.
There are spawns for both attackers and defenders for each environment.

The Vernal-Class Special Cruiser is a joint venture between Humanity and the Sangheili with Covenant tech. A cross between the two as a good standing.

The Cruiser is missioned with scientific exploration, to experiment and conduct research. The ship is fitted with prototype and experimental equipment that makes it one of the toughest single non-capital vessels manned by the UNSC.

The crew may also consist of more than just Human as well.

In the bunker where the testing chamber area theirs doors in it that cause my server to crash when there opened

lol thats fair there was also a issue with one of the side rooms with the little ramps inside the West one has messed up floor textures which shows the material waaaaay above the actual floor and lets you see through the world.

lol ya, i didnt know what that was from for a long wile. i found the problem and fixed it. but wont upload the fix just yet till i swing back around to a bug fix pass, also the map is going to be further expanded on in some locations.

right now im making a WH40k map

idk if its already known but the brute target in the training room seems to have a large prop attach to it sticking through the wall into the brig control room lol

I don't know how to insert images in comments, it's on the first floor near the east-side elevator (the room with the rails), and the hangar issue is in reference to the hangar inside that connects to the side hangars.

damn havent seen this base map in ages and it has a Cruiser on it now even better.
