Description
Adds more roles to many AI usage groups to promote a versatile AI battle behavior with the following logic for melee, flank, ranged and support roles:

- Flankers and harassers also have melee roles
- Ranged have both direct and indirect roles and can flank
- All melee, ranged and shock units can flank
- All melee and high value units can support, i.e. kept in reserve (affects formations as AI ARMY FORMATION)

This makes battles more varied as different units can take different roles, and not every unit is played the same every time, such as monsters sometimes flanking or flankers sometimes charging.

affects vanilla and custom units.

Combine with Random AI Personalities for random campaign behaviors.

Recommended to play with my collection which addresses other battle aspects of the game.

Thank you for the clarification. I'll keep the camera mod in mind. This mod likely works best with the camera mod (plus your other mods).

The AI splits to 3 as in vanilla, but potentially with more units flanking as it's always trying to flank, which is also a risk, though I haven't seen any major none-uniform movement/attacks which differ wildly from vanilla.

The mod isn't about making the battles necessarily harder, but more varied given different army compositions. If you want a challenge I suggest trying Immersive Battle Camera .

I have tried this mod but I'm not sure that it makes battles harder (or cause higher casualties for the player). The AI tends to split up forces more and they often do not move in unison, allow me to focus on smaller groups first and then turn attention to the rest.

Is this your experience as well (as the maker and main tester of the mod)?

This mod overwrites his mod, and his mod also edits AI army templates and has some invalid values, so I don't recommend using it anyway.

Just a question here, does this make these two incompatible or they are still good to go together/this make AI ARMY FORMATION redundant?
