AI Opponent | Goon

Description
NOTE: The General AI has now been released. This mod is for a character that is controlled by its own AI; the new one can control any character.

You can find it here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3577160476

An easy-to-beat AI opponent.
You can select its moves to look at its predictions, but ultimately, it locks in its own move and DI.
This is a "pilot" of sorts to test out an exceedingly simple AI-controlled character before working up to a general solution.
The character hasn't got a very diverse moveset to limit "thinking time" - it takes a 1-3 seconds to think as of now, but increased complexity may cause the number to have to rise.
On Easy and Medium, it looks one step ahead - it'll look at the moves you can make (to a limited extent) and respond accordingly.
It's not good at comboing, but it'll try its best!

Get the Mod Options mod to be able to change difficulties - the more difficult, the more time it will spend thinking.

Note on MultiHustle:
While Goon is now compatible, it is slow and resource-taxing, as simulating MultiHustle takes more memory and takes longer. It should work fine with a few bots on Easy or Medium, but don't expect a playable game with lots of Hard Mode. I do have plans to speed it up in the future, but that'll likely be specific to the general AI. This is just the pilot, after all.
If you find any bugs with MultiHustle specific to Goon, please let me know.

Note on Sticky DI Fixer:
Currently, using Goon with Sticky DI Fixer installed crashes the game. When I get the time to work on the General AI again, I'll look into it. As for now, they are simply incompatible.

Short FAQ:
- How do I use the mod?
This is a character named "Goon" that is controlled by an AI. The general AI is under development and coming soon, which you'll be able to use on any character!

- Do I need to turn P2 input off?
No, and I would advise against it. You want to be able to check what options your opponent can use, after all!

- My game isn't responding after I press lock in. Has the game crashed?
No, it just needs a second. Especially on Hard Mode, it can be taxing on your computer's resources.

- What if an AI could be a boss character or do other things?
I'm also planning to make a library to aid creation of specific AIs for bosses or special characters that wouldn't fit a general purpose AI playstyle. Stay tuned!

- The mod's showing up as Null. What do I do?
This is a common issue with mods. Go into settings and Delete Character Cache.

To be honest, I don't know what you're referring to. However, I can assure you that it only looks at all of your options, picks which one it thinks is best, and tries to counter it or tries to counter that move's counter.

Another way to prove it can be done with Undo - it's sort of like save-scumming in the way that you can go back to the same point any number of times. Generally speaking, the AI picks randomly from the moves that fall into the criteria I mentioned above, so you can see all the moves it would do by this method.
I understand the limited moveset, but the goon AI does know what move I put on anyways. I use a character that reaches wide on grounded, and the AI jumps over it even though there's no frames of interrupt or ready of that attack

ロブロックスハウスデ - That's because this was the pilot mod with a limited moveset, and because you're not using the DI wheel. He does not know what move you put in - you can prove this by having it lock in its move before yours.

In any case, you should try the General AI I released recently which can work on any character. With a larger moveset, it's more likely to switch up the moves it uses.
Goon AI needs to think better with combos, all it's been thinking was just throw, dash forward, throw, dash forward and repeats until hitting a wall in which it finally uses different moves ONCE, and this is on ANY difficulty level. Also he doesn't think for himself, he apparently KNOWS what moves I'm gonna do in which moves out of the way to dodge it.
