Iota Multiplayer

Description
Iota Multiplayer introduces a local multiplayer mode, allowing players to control multiple characters simultaneously on the same PC using gamepads, keyboard, and mouse. (Gamepads are optional and can be simulated using tools like QKeyMapper available on GitHub.)
For remote play, a remote control software such as Parsec is required.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have enabled M-Néé in the mod list before using this mod!

How to Use the Mod:
1. Start a new run and interact the 'CO-OP!'. Additional players will spawn, and you can control them using gamepads. Interact the 'Auto-Aim' to toggle it on or off.
2. Press C to switch the camera and GUI between players. Press T to toggle auto-teleport (SHIFT + T to teleport manually). You can edit key bindings in the M-Néé Panel.
3. Money is shared among players. Temple hearts, spell refreshers, and perks can be picked up once per player.
4. By default, friendly-fire damage between players is reduced to 50%. Kicks will not harm your teammates.
5. When a player dies, they will fall to the ground. If a player stands near the heart altar in the Holy Mountain, fallen players can press the interact button to resurrect themselves. Each player has one usage per altar.
6. Adjust the "Gamepad" setting in the game options to enable or disable GUI interactions for gamepads.
7. Additional settings can be configured in the mod settings menu.

Key Binding Customization:
To optimize your gameplay, you may need to edit key bindings for other players or utility functions:
1. Press Left Ctrl + M to open the M-Néé Panel.
2. Select the binding set.
3. Rebind the keys as needed.

Known Issues:
None at the moment.

Statement Regarding the "IS" Logo:
The "IS" logo in this mod's cover art and materials stands for "ImmortalSpirit" (仙灵), a super AI from a fictional universe. It symbolizes the fusion of technology and human civilization, representing wisdom, progress, and hope. This abbreviation is unrelated to any real-world organizations or events.
Previously, "IS" was used as a personal signature by the author, who was unaware of any conflicting references. If this caused any misunderstanding, the author sincerely apologizes.

there's a lot of stuttering and lag over time, probably as the same thing that Galactic is having, when the gui is updating for both players, such as when both are levitating or getting a status effect

If the game crashes or you try to continue a run after save+quit, then the co-op player(s) can no longer control their character

@Galactic after testing, looks like the multi gui bar heavy impact the performance, I would add a setting to toggle it there

This mod starts stable but give me increasing frame drops over time/progress even when only using m-nee and this mod

I would have thought my computer could handle something like this, it isn't hitting anywhere near 100% usage on task manager

Is this normal? anything else I should try other than tweekaroo?

Some controllers, D-Input ones in particular, will have different internal mapping from what default setup expects (modern standard is X-Input). You can check whether this is the case by attempting to run vanilla with a gamepad.

I can't seem to control the second player using a controller initially. I had to rebind all the control to be some what able to control it. Is this intended or?
