Notice! Not working for 1.6. No update is planned as of now. Feel free to fork or create your own version. Check the comments for further info as to why. It mainly regards this being a C# mod and me not having the time or interest to get everything operational, right now. Thanks.

1.6 Version can be found here. No longer maintained by me. Thank you Elijah for improving the mods code and providing an updated version

Overview
Requested mod that allows all animals (Including modded) to nuzzle depending on their Wildness factor.

Features
From a feeble rat to the mighty thrumbo, every creature is now capable of nuzzling.
The nuzzle interval is set based on the animal's wildness, ranging from 12 hours for the tamest animals to 72 hours for the wildest ones.

Compatibility
  • Works with All animals, Mod, DLC and Core
  • This mod should not cause any conflicts
  • Safe to add and remove from game
  • Does not work for 1.6. Check the updated version above!

Hello, hello! Thank you, I really value your openness about the mod. I don’t use DC these days, but I’m fine sticking to other platforms if that’s alright. Since players are already using the update, I’d be glad to keep maintaining it on my page while keeping credit to you as the original creator.

If you’d like to share the GIMP files, that would be great, but no pressure. Thanks again for making such a solid mod to begin with!

Hey Elijah! I appreciate you taking it on yourself to upgrade and update the mod. I'm happy to provide you with the GIMP files I've used, or altering them myself, to fit a new official 1.6 version. Although I could update the mod with the new source code and add you as a contributor, I'm just as content with you maintaining it on your page, depends on what you thinks best.

You can contact me on DC, user kad in the official server

Hi! I updated your mod to version 1.6 and made a few code improvements. If you want, you can apply these changes to your mod! The source code is included in the mod. Here

I agree.
There's not much to get excited about, and many necessary mods are now broken indefinitely.
I didn't check logs to see if your mod produced any errors.
Hope you come back some day with a refound love for Rimworld and modding.
We can all use a nice long break once in a while, or fall victim to Rim-fatigue.

@Johnny Dollar Thanks for testing it out!
I regret to inform you that currently no updates are planned.

I've switched my os and have not touched rw modding in a long while. While I want my published mods to work, I simply don't think that I have the time or interest to set everything up, and familiarize myself with the changes needed to be made. At least right now, I might get around to this anytime in the future, as I've had lots of ideas for larger rw mods I've wanted to create for a while now. But atm my interest is rather low in the game. Issues with even running the game with mods contributing to this massively.

I've updated the mod description. Sry to disappoint!

If there is a error log you can send over feel free to do so! Incase i get around to it

Tested it out on 1.6 and other animals can't nuzzle.
Tested with having pawns and animals stuck in the same room for 24 hours, and also checking animal info pages and searching for nuzzle interval.
Needs to be updated for 1.6.

Does it still work in 1.6 or does it need to be fixed?
Thanks for all the nuzzles in 1.5 :)

v1.2 Update
* Disabled debug log for animals

thx for notifying me

My apologies it seems I hadn't updated the mod after disabling the Logging? I'll push it asap

Can you disable looging every single animal whose nuzzle interval was edited by this mod? It feels like it was a developer option left enabled by mistake.
