Nextgen Better FX

Description
DIRECT X 12 ONLY!
What this mod does:

Particles:
- Overworked particle effects and shaders for more realistic smoke, fog and clouds in certain areas and cutscenes/quests.
- Increased particles for rain and snow.
- new particle-fx for appear and disappear animations for some monsters (ghosts, foglings,Ciri, lessun) --> can cause fps hits
- improved water effects for steps
- improved barrel explosions
- reworked/replaced smoke and fog effect
- distortion effect for fire

Shaders/Entities-Tweaks:
- everything gets wet in rain (animals, monsters, characters, objects, terrain)
- most lightsources (candles) cast shadows now --> causes fps hit in some interiors (golden sturgeon, witch hut), but is greatly improved in version 10
- Better Fur shaders for npcs, hair now moving
- subsurface scattering for ice
- custom rivershaders
- parallax mapping for fur carpets
- new moss textures with parallax effects on rocks
- shaders tweaked for monsters:
-dead whales (to look more wet)
-foglings (to look more wet and foggy)
-increased subsurface scattering for wyvern wings (to look more fleshy and transparent)

Bugfixes:
- increased deadwhale LOD, so the mesh doesnt morph when youare close to it
- Includes whale animation fix (freezing at a certaindistance) and more watersplash particles.
- Geralts Face gets wet in rain

Custom FX:
- added groundfog to certain areas in velen and skellige
- added underwater particles (as seen in E3 Demo) for certain areas (Novigrad/velen) so bodies of water described as murky actually appear a bit murky
- added custom waves fx to different locations
- "volumetric" fog for certain areas (ca. 3-5 fps loss)
- dynamic rain fx in certain locations
- aurora borealis in skellige and kaer morhen
- butterflies in some locations
- falling leaves in some locations

Installation:

Drag and drop into the mods/dlc folder

optional but recommended:Edit the settings in the rendering.ini (go to bin --> config --> base --> rendering.ini) as follows:

DynamicDecalsLimit=9000
DynamicDecalsChunkLimit=9000

FAQ:

Q: Is there any fps hit? A: Yes, after frequent reports, there is a fps hit depending on the area. Because of significant changes to the particles in certain cases or more shadows for lightsources you can expect up to 15 fps loss depending on your system. I recommend this mod to compensate for the loss: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=description.
Q: Conflicts with lighting mods?? A: Give the lighting mod higher priority and there shouldnt be a problem.

REQUIREMENTS: HoS and B&W

Thanks to CD Projekt Red for making this awesome game and REDKIT
