Retexture of VE Trading console to fit perfectly alongside my other console retextures, due to some slight design changes. Console variations also are available when installed alongside the VE Framework.

Bad news @The Blind One, I have dropped the SOS2 mod from my planned list. I could go into detail but to keep it short, its a consistency nightmare that has kept me thinking for quite some time since you suggested this, and it would require alot of work both for this mod and all my past mods to try and make this all work nicely. SOS2 creates a new design that I would have to juggle and prepare for and that would really kill my mood ngl. I don't use SOS2, and I have so many mods planned both tech wise alongside other mods. Sorry fam, just can't do it.

Also comms console retexture and another unique tech mod is coming out soon.

Completely agree! It honestly was a perfect addition but I never play SOS2 so I never had much of an incentive. The mod won't start development for a while but its now in the queue. Will also contain a VEF patch to allow variations like this mod. I noticed that there are some structures in the VE retexture mod that will contradict my tech thematic lore (yes that's a thing, I will explain in a future mod lmfao) so I have to come up with some designs to ensure consistency, potentially even dropping the green keyboard and blue screen. Don't worry about that though, as consistency is very important for me and I'm sure I will work out a way to make things connect seamlessly, like adding a new texture variant to past mods so they fit with any new potential designs.

That would go so well with the SOS2 retexture mod from Vanilla Expanded.

The new version of SOS2 has new consoles that were never incorporated in the VE Retexture so they are incredibly low res and a little jarring compared with the high quality of the Retexture mod so a nice set of high res consoles in the VE style would benefit the SOS community immensely!

I personally don't play SOS2, and I got a lot of mod projects both console and vehicle related that is currently planned out for the rest of 2024. I did consider it, but honestly I don't think I will be touching SOS2 imo. There is a Vanilla expanded retexture of SOS2, and the comms console textures found in VE variations mod pair really well to each other, so that's what I would recommend. Sadly doesn't really pair with any of my console mods, but if you stick to just the comms console and the consoles found in SOS2, and you don't use any mods that I make console retextures of like VE trading or Rimatomics and such, it should stay consistent and look good regardless. Sadly very limiting but it is what it is. This is of course subject to change, but I wouldn't count on it.

Your console retextures are really good, have you considered doing some for SOS2?
