Description
A lore-driven exploration-scrapping-combat scenario for single- and multiplayer - APEX UPDATE

You have been living a long time on Narsut, desert planet of the Empire. And now, finally, things are beginning to look good for you. Your House has given you a huge task in order to secure your promotion – repair the old scrapping workshop, finish the old scrapping tasks and use the material to get a large transport up and running again. Do you talk to the locals to find lucrative scrapping opportunities? Do you follow the projects laid out for you by your House? Or do you go for the dangerous route and get into breaking down abandoned, armed bases for the government? The choice is yours.

What is this?
This is a lore driven exploration scenario in which you will explore a colonised world in order to find new materials to repair a large ship and deliver it to the edge of the system. You will join House Trastikh, a small and unimportant honourable House in the Akhinnae Empire and explore cities, settlements and stations to gather more information on the world. Interacting with NPCs and text panels you will find further information on how to advance your tasks.
You will start with a an old workshop, repair it and find more tasks in the surrounding settlements to gather better equipment and materials.
The scenario is customizable! You can change the settings and add mods at any given time, the scenario should still work with many of them.
IMPORTANT: this scenario is not balanced to be compatible with any kind of MES mod.
This is not a particularly difficult or frustrating scenario, it is designed to narrate you through a world.

Who is this for?
“Narsut System” is for single players specifically but can be played with up to three players as well.
This is a lore-driven RPG like scenario with loads of texts. If you dislike reading this is NOT for you.
This is a scenario for the experienced Space Engineers player with survival experience. If you do not know how to save GPS coordinates or how to properly manage hydrogen fuel consumption, this scenario might not be (yet) for you.
In the vanilla experience, this scenario is NOT PVP but can be PVE combat oriented if you choose so.

How to play it
You spawn in the desert, taking a break on the way to your new home.

PLEASE NOTE: JOIN HOUSE TRASTIKH IN THE FACTION SELECTION MENU FIRST
PLEASE NOTE: REMEMBER THE FUNCTION "CAN USE ALL TERMINALS" FROM THE ADMIN SCREEN IF I FORGOT ANY GRIDS THAT SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE

Explore your Agricola Class hovercraft, read the panels, find the GPS coordinates and get to your base. You will find that reading panels will get you more GPS coordinates and more places of interest.

Hovercraft tip: increasing and decreasing friction of your hoverbed will give you control over your deceleration.
Hovercraft tip: Sending a broadcast request over channel 7 will cause many grids to respond to you on the surface! The Hovercraft has set up a broadcast request button in the quickslot bar.

CHECK THE DATAPADS IN LOCKERS AND CONTAINERS FOR ADDITIONAL GPS

Repair the base as well as possible then find new projects to scrap and get more resources.
You can sell and buy certain goods at the stores in the settlements. A large exchange market will be found in the capital.

Remember to ask around and talk to the NPCs in the smaller settlements as well, from the outposts to the farms. Sometimes they point you to additional small tasks as well that may yield good rewards.

You are NOT supposed to mine to further your goals. Mine only in cases of being stuck with the storyline and if you desperately need resources.

From time to time you might need to “borrow” a vessel or transport, for example the drop ship at the space port to get into space – just don’t destroy it.

This World comes with OPTIONAL mods. You can remove them, but they are adding much to the atmosphere of the scenario.

The world comes with two non-optional mods:
AE NPC Dummies - Interactable NPC Blocks by SEModder04 and Æ

AQD - Tarps & Nets by Enenra

Special thanks to Smokki and Beeblebum for beta-testing and giving me continuous feedback!

*five different major ground settlements
*a functional public transport system
*over 25 different planetary POI
*6 different space stations
*over thirty individual space craft, small vehicles, hovercrafts, drop pods and cargo ships
*probably above 300 NPCs with their own texts
*a questline with multiple ways to play
*a basic economy system

Visit the capital, the hovercraft training facility, a hotel or a mine off-world. Find the military task forces, chat with farmers, or follow the PVE combat quests. Talk to the Magistrate or a lowly soldier, use surface ships and visit the school to read about Akhinnae history.

“How do winning conditions and progress conditions trigger?”
There are none. This is “just” a world with things placed in a story-telling order. The scenario will “start” when you chose to follow the instructions on the pads at your starting location
“Akhi.. Hakhu… what the heck?!”
Akhinnae – it’s my own world, with lore, language, history – I am a nerd, you know?

“DLC split the community, why do you use them here?”
For this scenario, you do not need to own any DLC. You will need to exchange the DLC blocks that should be repaired with regular blocks in the base during gameplay, otherwise this works fine

The wheel solution, although beloved by me, was hated by many users and I finally caved and gave it the hovercraft mod for almost all grids on Narsut. You will have to engage the inertia dampeners and it should auto-hover

Am I missing something? I can't get the hovercraft to work, is it supposed to have wheels like on the gif here?

That's weird, I tested it and it works for me. Do you have any additional mods installed or a plugin loader?

I am currently prepping a small hotfix for another thing that will be online within the hour, I would suggest trying to load that one then, maybe it fixes your issue as well!
