I still don't understand why they took this out of the main game. You used to be able to do this a looooong time ago. Thank you for the mod!

This game needs this: the ability to get close to your people aids the immersion so much.

There are some modding basics in the forum on the developer's website which helped me. But it's not that easy to mod and has its limitations.
