Beel's Fixed and Expanded Talker (Rollback Version)

Description
Disclamer:
Some things were borrowed from other Talkers, mainly from Mayo's and Lochlan's.

Note:
Let me know if you find any bugs or errors. I'm human, so I've definitely made some mistakes.

This only works in single player or a local server where the host has this mod installed.

Description:
A heavily modified TLS Talker Script File, made to be very lore-friendly and fit into a Vanilla game. It makes the Survivors a lot more vocal throught the playthrough and makes some very rare lines not be as rare as seeing a Jimmy Gibbs infected. This has been made for my personal use, but suggestions and bug reports are still welcome.

This Version was made so that anyone that can't use my main one because of soundcache crashes, can use this one. The only difference from the main one is that it doesn't have any unused lines that have been added in the new update. It still has fixes and additions that don't introduce unused lines.

Really appreciate the latest patch adding a bunch of stuff for the L4D1 and L4D2 survivors being in a campaign together, fun for doing 8-player stuff

It's up for the mapper to build a stringtable after every compile/update, if they forget, the game kinda gets fucked. It's what the map uses to keep track of which scenes are used in a map and whatnot.

I don't know much about map stringtables, but from my experience when I play Custom Maps I use this Talker version usually and it never crashes for me. Although it still could be possible if a map decides on it's own to add a LOT more unused lines or more new sounds all together. Thanks for telling me tho, I might look into this map stringtable thing more to see for myself

Hey there, I don't know if you remember me, but I said something about high talker entries crashing games. Recently I learned that that's only due to maps not having stringtables; i.e. the map will to load all talker entries leading to kick to main menu/crash, which really isn't this addon's fault.

No mods have conflict with it

Haven't tested it, but it should work

What if I combined with Active Talker and the Chimichamo talker collection with this talker?

I guess you could say that

The nag update I presume heh

Unless Valve increases the soundcache limit it's just how it will be. You can always just use the Rollback version, it gets all the same updates, just without the unused voice lines so that it doesn't crash to the main menu.
