TREKORION: Unglaus-Class Frigate | Ti/Na (7 Slots)

The Unglaus-Class Frigate is built on the Kursu's signature KMX-7 Prototype Universal Hull (PUH), making up the saucer and long impulse engines of this new class of ship. The Kursu design philosophy is to make many ships and vehicles off of one chassis as possible to ensure both parts commonality and interchangeability, but also mass production of advanced technologies that would result in a far more versatile navy.

This change came following a reform after the First Colony War. Though barely purveying conflict from the Kursu side, many vessels and experienced crews were lost when the nation failed to upkeep older fleets of ships from a manufacturer that no longer backed them. Because of this doctrine change, the Kursu Sovereignty would allow the KMX-7 to have frigates, corvettes, and light cruisers built off of it to rebuild a full navy using prototype equipment developed from ancient alien ruins found on their new homeworld of Kursu II - the first prototype being the K'aLoung-Class Surveyor, which was a variant of the Unglaus and sported a new type of nacelle - four sets of warp rings, allowing the vessel to project the forward sets slightly ahead in time using a Temporal Buffer Coefficient Drive housed within the engineering hull, letting the vessel stretch out spacetime very briefly before letting it close in on itself, sending the ship forward on a huge ripple in spacetime. More akin to a subspace slingshot than a warp drive, the accuracy would leave a lot to be desired and would not be in use when flying in fleets due to that unpredictability.
