Smooth Render

Description
Smooth Render v. 1.9
This mod does not increase the game's overall speed!

Does not disable achievements!

I recommend getting this mod by TsFreddie as it stabilises the games 'Logic' loop meaning that it works quite well together with my mod. This is because my mod fixes issues associated with higher FPS (like calculations, animations etc) whereas TsFreddie's mod fixes timings with the 'Logic' loop of the game. So if you do use these two mods together, select your desired FPS with the slider (my mod) and then set the desired 'Framerate' with the other mod with the same FPS values!

Is the mod not working quite right?
If the mod does not work or causes something to break, make sure you have the latest version installed and try just reloading just in case there is some old mod data, otherwise, let me know and I will (probably) fix it.

What does the mod do?
This mod enhances game visuals by adjusting the calculation of graphics elements ensuring smoother animations according to the selected FPS without affecting the game's logic speed. It also adds the option to display the currently rendered FPS.

FPS can be changed in the options tab next to the volume sliders. You can also click on the slider to set a custom FPS outside of the default range of 30 to 150 (inclusive).

This mod adjusts the following animations in the game:
  • Shimmers (golden, wrath, reindeer and rabbit cookies)
  • Particles
  • Adjusts ‘fillPattern()’ function to work with varying FPS
  • Cursor velocities orbiting the big cookie
  • Left background particles (cookies, snowflakes or hearts)
  • Milk
  • Shimmering veil and the glints it has
  • Heavenly background and wispy centre in ascension
  • Dragon movement when there is a dragon harvest or flight
  • Big cookie breaking during ascension
  • Big cookie wobble when clicked - Actually smooth as of v. 1.9
  • Wrinkler jiggle (when clicked)
  • Wrinkler pulse (when idle)
  • Adjusts wrinklers health gain so that the average amount of clicks to kill a wrinkler is the same regardless of the FPS
  • Not scary wrinkler eyes pulse
  • ‘Eye of the wrinkler’ upgrade
  • Little icons to the bottom left of the screen
  • Fixes all of the timings in the garden when FPS is not 30 (the default value)
  • Adjusts the magic bar refill rate
  • Fixes grandmas shaking in the buildings window
  • Fixes buff time calculations

YOU SHOULD NOT PASTE UNKNOWN CODE INTO YOUR BROWSER CONSOLE!

Here is the pastebin[pastebin.com] for the browser version.

Yes, this worked! Thank you very much for the quick fix!

Should be fixed now, it was my old code that was restricting the CPS label to be updated every 33 ms (30 FPS), so at higher frames per second, the CPM label would be appended more than once. I forget why I ever wrote that code, but it doesn't seem to change anything, so it's probably fine.

Hey, this is a great mod! I'm here to inform you, however, of an incompatibility: the Cookies Per Minute mod, and any mod like it, has issues caused by this mod; particularly, it seems to be overdrawing or underdrawing any element added to the cookies element by a mod, causing several instances of the added element to appear and then disappear (probably after each draw update) or for the added element to flicker in and out of existence (possibly being overwritten by Smooth Render due to Smooth Render updating the element more frequently). Unfortunately, given a few hours of effort, I haven't been able to make the issue stop, only change from the overdrawing to the underdrawing aforementioned. I have some likely mediocre theories on what might be causing this conflict (ranging from variable desynchronisation to changes to the draw tick), but haven't been able to find a solution on the side of the CPM mod so far. Good luck with your mod, and hopefully I was able to help!

The buffs should now be fixed, it is annoying to work with them because the game relies on the FPS for their calculations - I now changed it to just use seconds. If you have any buffs before enabling this mod, they will be a lot longer than they should be, so before enabling the mod make sure you have no buffs (annoying I know, but it would be a lot of work to "flag" the buffs). To note, once the mod is enabled, any new buffs should be calculated correctly now so no need to worry.

For me cookie storm spawn WAY too many cookies, i set both this mod and the smooth framerate mod to the same fps.

I have a MANGO at 67% and it NEVER disappears

I also have a clot debuff stuck at 0%, cookie monsters shows it's timer as NaN% and it's permanently halving my cookies and Idk how to change it

I'm pretty consistently getting the Cookie Clot buff getting stuck at 0% and never disappears, or otherwise getting stuck at it's current value. It's happened several times, playing at FPS 90 and 150
