Left 4 Dead 2 Enhanced Props Pack

In 1 collection by Sirgibsalot
The Sirgibsalot Collection - Garry's Mod
42 items
Description
A selection of props from or inspired by Left 4 Dead 2, enhanced for Gmod usage with improved shaders, enhanced textures, high-detail meshes, bone tool support, and extra customization options through bodygroups and skins.

Left 4 Dead 2 is NOT required for this addon.

Included within:
- Most of the firearms: AK-47, Desert Eagle, G3/SG1, Glock, M4 Super 90/XM1014, M16A2, M79, MAC-10, Mini-14, Pump/Chrome Shotgun, SCAR, SIG P220, SPAS-12 and Uzi. Also included is the restored M1911 and Ruger P89 pistols from Lt. Rocky's Overhauling the Originals addon, HD versions of the AWM, Steyr Scout and SG552, and the MK18 and MP5 seen in official artwork. All are based on the viewmodels for maximum detail with enhanced textures, bone tool support, and extra customization options in the form of bodygroups and skins. Also includes props for their respective magazines and shotgun/grenade shells.

- The .50 Cal and Minigun enhanced with improved textures and meshes, skingroups, and more bones to use with a bone tool. Also included is a portable version of the Minigun.

- All of the melee weapons: Baseball and Cricket Bats, Chainsaw, Crowbar, Fireaxe, Frying Pay, Golf Club, Guitar, Katana, Machete, Nightstick (Tonfa), the unused Riot Shield from the game's files, the CSS Knife (using a HD model from CSGO), and the Pitchfork and Shovel from The Last Stand update. All have the same features as the firearms including optional skins and viewmodel-quality meshes.

- The Adrenaline Shot, Ammo Boxes, Bile Bomb, Cola Bottles, Defibrillator, Molotovs, Medkit, Pain Pills and Pipebomb with the same features as the melee weapons, along with props for things like the cola's bottle caps, a lighter for the Molotov and individual pills from the pill bottle.

- Bonus weapons: A M72 LAW rocket launcher based on sound scripts within the files of L4D1 suggesting it was intended to be in the game but cut at some point in development, and an enhanced version of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive M249 SAW with plenty of bodygroups and skins.

- Various random items including Ellis's hat, Bill's beret and cigarette, Rochelle's earring, a generic pistol holster, prop versions of the campaign posters used as loading screens (including the ones for the Valve-made DLC campaigns and The Last Stand), the fireworks box from Dark Carnival, the suitcase and $100 bills from The Passing campaign (with bone tool support on the case), Coach's football helmet from the concept art, the military gasmask from the comic, a stuffed teddy bear and the turtle doll from Counter Strike Source with slightly enhanced textures and bone tool support, a walkie talkie radio and a military helmet taken from the SWAT models in CS:GO.

FEATURES:
- A selection of models from Left 4 Dead 2 and CS:GO, many of which have been edited to fix issues with the original meshes.
- Enhanced textures that add missing details and fix numerous issues while keeping the original style intact along with adding bump/normal maps with phong and environment shaders.
- Bodygroups, skins, and attachments. Use the Easy Bodygroup Tool to select it or hold C, right click the model and use the "bodygroup" and "skin" options.
- Individual props for weapon magazines, attachments and optics.
- Each firearm is rigged to a bone set allowing virtually every part to be moved and manipulated using the Joint Tool and/or Advanced Bone Tool.
- Supports direct attachment of particles using the Advanced Particle Controller.
- Limited bonemerge support to directly attach the weapons to ragdolls. This requires the Composite Bonemerge Tool with sv_compositeentities_childboneediting set to 1. The Easy Bonemerge Tool is NOT supported as a bone tool is also required to move the weapon and manipulate its parts after merging as it will be misaligned.

NOTES/ISSUES:

- These are not SWEPs, and I have no intention of making SWEPS. If you wish to create your own SWEPS using these models feel free to do so.

- The Chrome Shotgun isn't compiled as its own model but has its parts included as bodygroups and skins for the Pump Shotgun. The Adrenaline Shot, AK-47, AWM and MAC-10 also include their default textures from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as skins.

- The MK18 carbine and MP5 use modified versions of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive M4A4 model and the cut MP5 model, as they appear to have been modeled after the respective guns seen in L4D2's artwork. The Counter-Strike Source weapons included here use high-detail models from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive instead of the old and crusty CSS models used in L4D2.

- Bodygroups only control the attachments and cosmetic options. In order to pose the various parts on the firearms (slide, hammer, etc), you need to use the Joint Tool and/or Advanced Bone Tool.

- Parts such as the foregrips and sights can be moved using one of the bone tools. You can do this to adjust the position of foregrips and optics.

@UlτrαΤwο: Yeah, something must have happened during compile. It'll be fixed in the next update.

M16A2 flashlight is... I don't even know how to describe it.

Corrupted, I think? It doesn't look right.

@Gonzbt/Betel.Arg: These were not built for compatibility with the KF2 prop packs, but you can use the Advanced Bonemerge Tool to attach props to any bone, though you'll need to tweak the positions and rotations yourself using the tool controls to make it look right.
Gonzbt/Betel.Arg 31 Jul @ 6:44pm
I ask again (I'm very annoying) are the killing floor 2 attachments, the sights, scopes is compatible with these weapons with Bonemerge? (My Bad english)
TV Head 31 Jul @ 12:42pm
Imagine if someone took these models and made them functional weapons using TFA or other similar modifiable weapon packs
Sirgibsalot  [author] 26 Jul @ 12:10pm
@LawdPizzaman: I'd like to add a few more bonus weapons but not many though, I don't want to bloat the pack too much with things that don't represent the game itself.

Some of the Arcade weapons are interesting but asset quality is all over the place. Some are okay and up there with the L4D2 models but others are frankly pretty awful. I haven't had a deep dive through them to see what's viable and what's not so we'll see.
LawdPizzaman 25 Jul @ 5:52pm
Are you gonna add weapons from concept art and the one from the arcade or mostly stick to the base weapons that is in the game?
Box_910 23 Jul @ 12:06pm
What a pity this isnt a swep

Oops... Sowwy
Sirgibsalot  [author] 21 Jul @ 10:24am
@Јамеѕ: That's only meant to be used with the railed handguard bodygroup.
