A3AE - Antistasi Extension for Northern Fronts

Description
Note: this mod extension is still a WIP, and will be a subject to changes. Currently tested with only the listed dependecies - may or may not work with others. Almost certainly will not work well with any other Antistasi extensions and templates than the ones in this extension + Spearhead 1944 DLC.

IMPORTANT!
In addition to the listed dependencies, you will also need the Spearhead 1944 DLC or its Compatibility Data. (Only one of these is needed - latter will give some restrictions for the player, but will work)

Antistasi Extension for Northern Fronts modification, adds:

Playable factions:
- FDF Summer 1944
- FDF Winter 1939-1940
- FDF Winter 1944
- Finnish Civil Guard (Summer 1939)
- Norwegian Resistance
- Norwegian Resistance Winter
- Danish Resistance (very early WIP)
- Karelian Resistance (Semi-fictional)
- Estonian Forest Brothers
- Czheckoslovakian Resistance (When CSA38 is loaded)

Enemy factions:
- USSR Summer 1944
- USSR Summer 1939
- USSR Winter 1939-1940
- USSR Winter 1944/45
- USSR Naval Infantry
- Wehrmacht Winter
- Wehrmacht 1939 (When CSA38 is loaded)

Civilian factions:
- Karelian Civilians
- Karelian Civilians winter
- Norwegian Civilians
- Norwegian Civilians Winter
- Danish Civilians (WIP)
- Estonian Civilians
- Czheckoslovakian Civilians (When CSA38 is loaded)

Maps:

- NF Karelia
- NF Svartmarka (Same as Karelia, but with Norwegian names for places)
- NF Talvivaara
- NF Svartmarka Winter

Other:

- Logistics system for various new vehicles and weapons
- Custom damage modifier for players as there is no body armors in Northern Fronts
- Custom flag mapmarkers for FDF, USSR and Karelians
- AI characters will have their names decided by their nationality
- More varied target and escort vehicles for convoy and destroy/steal armor missions
- Some shenanigans to make the gloves occupying the NVG slot visible during daytime on the winter templates
- Progressive gear unlocks for each playable faction - nothing too gamebreaking, only some small arms and other stuff
- Other small stuff
- Works with Spearhead 1944 Antistasi faction templates
- Works with FDF voice-over mod (mostly, see "Optional Mods" below for details)
- When ACRE2 is used, rebels will get only the AN/PRC-77 to simulate older, heavier and more limited radios of WW2

REQUIRES:
- Antistasi - The Mod
- CBA_A3
- Northern Fronts
- Northern Front Terrains
- CUP Terrains - Core
- IFA3 AIO
- Spearhead 1944 DLC (or its compatibility data)

OPTIONAL MODS:
- ACRE2: can be used to simulate more realistic radio communications in-game. Rebels will get only the AN/PRC-77 radio to be used, other ACRE radios are not found in the starting arsenal.
- FDF voice-over: when loaded, the FDF and Karelian rebels will use Finnish voices. Seems to have some problems with file signatures and AI not using the radio voicelines sometimes, so because of that this is only an optional mod and default Arma 3 English voices will be used when this mod is not loaded.
- ACE and ACE No Medical: Should work just fine, but not thoroughly tested by me yet.
- Flying Legends: adds more aircraft to FDF and German factions when used
- Secret Weapons Reloaded: adds more aircraft to USSR and German factions
- CSA38: adds 3 new CSA38 themed factions when loaded

KNOWN BUGS:
- Roadblocks with the sandbag shelters spawn the AI-manned HMGs and AT guns pointing at wrong direction when using USSR as faction
- Spec Ops mission is marked as a success immediately when a player enters inside their spawn distance, but the Spec Ops squad will still be in the area it is meant to be and can be fought against
- 81mm Finnish mortars won't work with AI mortar squads - replaced temporarily with 50mm mortars

Future additions:
- Making the 37mm and 45mm AT guns to be able to be loaded into the cargo space of larger trucks after their mass is corrected (currently at around 500 metric tons which leads to some hilarious Arma physics moments)
- Map for the Danish Resistance campaign, Bornholm Revamped
- (Optional) Bicycle for the rebel factions, if I can find a suitable mod somewhere

Extra thanks to the Northern Fronts crew for their awesome mod and patience with my neverending bug reports!

@Cộnguya Culprit found and a quick hotfix has been published just now, thanks again for the report!

Thanks for the report, I've been extremely busy involved in a project within a different game for the last year, so sometimes Arma/Antistasi updates break something within this mod and I fail to notice it in time, I'll start looking for a solution right away.

Hey seems the mod never loads the mission was wondering if maybe it needs to be updated?

@ebbebouman This extension by default does not work with Ultimate, as Ultimate has some stuff that's not found in the vanilla Antistasi, such as rival rebel factions, the Arms Dealer and some conflicting things in the faction templates. Some of the custom scripts I have used would probably cause some issues with Ultimate too. I might start working on converting this one to Ultimate at some point, but can't really say when, as I would need a ton of more free time for that, something that I unfortunately don't have that much at the moment.

That said, I believe Antistasi Ultimate has already added Northern Front factions as an official part of their mod, and while they don't include things like Finnish comms and other small details found here, I would still recommend checking them out!

hello! I am sorry for asking a dumb question, but is this compatible with Antistasi Ultimate aswell?

@Nimmersatt Thank you for the kind comment, it's nice to know that I've managed to build something that people seem to like! For the Github, I have actually so far used a very similar system that is just restricted to the university I'm attending to while building the extension, so migrating it to a public Github should not be too big of a task, I'll look into it during the coming week and let you know when it's done.

The source code itself is not encrypted even at this moment though, just packed into a .pbo file that you can open with a program called PBO Manager if you need to be able to get access to the code right now, here's a link to it: https://github.com/winseros/pboman3/releases

@Malixi Thank you so much for creating this mod. Can you please open source the mod on Github to allow custom modifications? Thank you so much!
