Description
Details:

The second entry into a series of Mass Effect themed mods that I intend to make, in order to bring that universe into Rimworld bit by bit to the best of my ability. This mod adds two new races, as well as their own weapons, armor, factions and more.

This is my second real attempt at modding in Rimworld, so if you run into issues/suggestions let me know so I can tweak this as I go.




Includes:

Two (three) new factions
  • The Krogan Clans (One friendly, one hostile)
  • The Salarian Colonial Initiative

Two new races
  • Krogan
    • Resilient
    • Physically powerful
    • Slow-moving
    • Features: Blood Rage(pain reduced), Genophage(Fertility reduced)
  • Salarians
    • Physically weak
    • Short-lived
    • Fast workers
    • Good researchers

New weapons (with unique sounds)
  • Krogan Rifle (Striker - Explosive rounds)
  • Krogan Shotgun (Claymore)
  • Krogan Spikethrower (Grall Spikethrower)
  • Krogan Hammer
  • Salarian Shotgun (Venom Shotgun - Explosive rounds)
  • Salarian Heavy Pistol (Scorpion Pistol - Explosive rounds)

New armor/apparel (for their specific races only)
  • Krogan armors (Light, Medium, Heavy)
  • Krogan robes
  • Salarian armor
  • Salarian apparel (Scientist uniform, undersuit, jacket, suit)

Misc
  • Ryncol, a strong krogan liquor

New content for ME:Gangs and Mercenaries
  • Blood Pack krogan warriors and warlords
  • Eclipse salarian operatives

mass effect series did update to 1.5, can i try to update this?

@Warmaster Bayou 7 Unfortunately, the Rim-Effect modseries is effectively on hiatus ever since Rimworld updated to 1.5, which means my Mass Effect mods are defunct as well. Which is reason enough for me to drop them- but I may still work on something new.

Hey so I haven't changed my mod list for awhile. I tried to start a whole new Krogan Clan playthrough and for some reason I no longer see any factions on the map and when I go the character customization the models of the krogan are invisible. So then I tried to make a Mercenary playthrough I went to add a krogan character and Asari character and other characters only the humans pop up the Krogan and everyone else doesn't pop up. Is this just one of those need to update kind of things or is it just my Rimworld?

Wasted your time with my comment notifications. It was that mod, I just used Cherry picker to disable that Xenotype which made me figure out it wasn't one of your Krogan, just a random dude. Easily fixed on my end, thank you for your hard work ;)

While going through my mods, most of them are QOL mods or adding Rimeffect/world items, I think it may be because of Mass Effect Xenotypes , maybe.

First off I'd like to thank you for your work, I regularly come back to Rimworld and usually like the Mass effect IP to be a part of it. I do have an issue though, I made the Krogan under suit on the tailors bench and when trying to equip it to a Krogan I had captured/recruited it said cannot be used by humans, any ideas why?

@Warmaster Bayou 7 I don't think I actually made a recipe for it, that's something I need to add in the future. Should be able to buy it off of Krogan traders though
