VCZ Cargo Elevator v2.0

Description
DOES NOT WORK ON MULTIPLAYER SERVERS
Tested in single and multiplayer November 7, 2023: Works in single player.

Single Player Only: Use at your own risk on servers.
If you can get it working? Great! Share how you did it or re-publish the fix and let us know in the comments. I'll appreciate the help keeping this mod alive / be glad to share a well emphasized link to a working MP version here in the description if you re-publish it.

"Use at your own risk" because if you build it in MP without reading this...you should have read this. I know it doesn't work in multiplayer.

If the original author asks this will be taken down as soon as I receive their request.

How to build it:
THE EASIEST WAY:
1. Build a 7x7 square armor block platform with a 5x5 hole in the middle. (must be powered)
2. Build the VCZ Cargo Elevator Piston block in the 5x5 hole.
3. Build a VCZ Cargo Elevator Floor around the elevator's piston block.
4. Build Fillers and floors as you want, as you need. The door block is not necessary to use.
5. Built a Floor block for the top floor.

AS SHOWN IN THE SCRENSHOTS:
1. Build a 7x7 platform with a 5x5 hole in it. Place 1 block somewhere under it (I use a battery to insure it's powered) and build a 5x5 platform starting under that block (the battery) so the 5x5 platform is the 3rd layer of blocks down.
2. Build a VCZ Floor block on the 5x5 base platform.
3. Build a VCZ Piston block on top of the floor block on the base platform.
4. Place your first floor.
5. Access the control panel of the piston block and set the velocity negative to drop the car down.
6. Place your filters, doors if you want (doors aren't required) and additional floors.

Tip: Use the back corner posts on the right side to line the filters and additional floors up more easily. They can be challenging to place if they're not built using the back right corner as the reference point to build off of.

Take it for a ride!

Here is a blueprint of a base platform to build it on / in:

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033431821

TO USE THE PRE-BUILT PLATFORM BLUEPRINT:
- Dig down 3 blocks counting the block you're standing on you want the elevator level with.
- Build the base platform for the elevator 5x5. Make where you want the elevator level with 7x7 with a 5x5 hole.
- The base platform should be the 3rd block down from the floor you want the elevator level with. The base structure should be 3 blocks high, total, with the 5x5 platform at the bottom.

NOTE:
You have to dig a hole to use the pre-built platform blueprint.
The elevator won't work if there are voxels (ground textures) in its way.

The non-cargo version (works in multiplayer!):

I am running around 10 mods that do something, like MES, WeaponCore... the rest is cosmetic

How many mods are you running? More than 20 = yes it could be a conflict.

Is getting stuck in "falling" animation and being unable to move normal, or is some other mod causing this?
Onion 15 Sep @ 11:27am
Back to normal again. Thanks!

A fix was attempted but not tested. Exit and reload your game so the mod updates for you if you're still in the game.

I'm also having issues after the last update. All LCD screens are showing the full 88 and the elevator controls won't work. These are all on existing builds that worked prior to the update.

I think the last update broke this mod, tried in a SP creative empty world in multiple different combinations and it wont work, just behaves like doors and a piston.

For ships use a modded piston. One of those one block tall ones that stretch over 20 blocks or so. Or use vanilla ones if have room. But this wont be good for ships... ive tried many times lol

But the piston elevator will work. just decide if want vanilla pistons or modded ones.

This is not intended to be placed on moving vehicles. It has loose parts (the elevator car floats). Of course it's going to clang and go boom on a ship....

Also it destroy it self when used in a large ship when travelling etc
