Broken & Burnt Body

Description
Adds a trait to start the game with your entire body fractured and burnt.

Mod inspired by Fracture Fraction

The original mod sets the fracture time to 50 on each part of the body. This mod rolls a value between 50 and 80 for each individual part, like it would do if you get a fracture from normal gameplay. Likewise, each burn is rolled 50-100.
These values are in-game days. However, this is the base time. It is reduced significantly by wearing a Split (fracture), Bandage (burn), applying Comfrey, being well fed, and your First Aid level.

Description
Big RIP
+25
You fell down the stairs into an oven. Start with your entire body fractured and burned. Don't worry, they're already splinted and bandaged.

If you think this trait does not give enough points, you can give yourself extra points to compensate by choosing Custom Sandbox, clicking the Character tab, and changing the Free Trait Points value to your desired amount. It also accepts negative values if you think this trait gives too many points.

"It is intended as a challenge at the start. If you plan to use it in the late-game and AFK heal for the trait points, you might as well just give yourself the traits in debug mode to save time."

I described to you what players do with this sort of trait and how they use it in their gameplay from my observations.

"As far as I know, sandbox options cannot change trait point costs. If you know another mod which does it, I can take a look and maybe apply it to this mod."

Like I said, an alternative version of the mod, where we can select trait points by selecting the different version in the "mod manager menu" would be a great solution. Simply have a few versions of the mod where the trait points are already selected. Example, the current points given are 25. In the alt versions, it's all the same mod, except the points value is adjusted for each alt version as a list for us to select in the main menu mod manager.

Or even easier, simply reupload the mod entirely as a separate mod, and with the points returned is +5 instead of the current +25.

Hopefully that makes sense? I do like the mod. It just needs some flexibility.

In solo play it doesn't affect other mods. You simply edit free points when you plan to use this trait. It is only a problem if you reach the free point maximum of vanilla. If that is the case, use debug mode instead.

An interesting mod. I would love to use it. But it really needs some sandbox options to adjust the negative points. Even a simple alt version with +5, +10, +15, +20 points would be perfect for this simple mod.

Even in solo play adjusting the base starting points just for this mod really wrecks compatibility with other profession and perk mods. It makes using this mod really annoying, having to adjust everything around it, per game.

Having used similar mods that gave the player a burnt body at start. I can tell you for a fact this type of mod would solely be used in late game builds for players. Where the base is established with all the needed supplies and the player will sit or sleep until healed. At that point, they don't need to leave the base for anything and wouldnt be traveling with their original character. So they off their character for the the extra points creating a super build.

I want to use this mod. But it is too OP with the points gain. I was looking to adjust the points to +5 or +6 myself. Mainly as that is a good place for this negative trait and I wanted to avoid any abuse in the future multiplayer for a server. So if we could atleast have some alternative points versions, then this mod could suit the needs of everyone a bit better.

Very late response, but you can stop the HP loss by applying a bandage. Normally in Zomboid if you suffer a fractured torso, you can't apply a splint, you just have to wait for it to heal, which can be sped up with bandages, food and rest.

@Rique: I think you can cure individual parts, but it's been a long time since I played this game.

yeah but that would cure all my parts? the debug

@Rique:
There is nothing I can do. Removing it should not kill you since the torso normally can't be splinted in Vanilla, as evident by your inability to put it back. If you are actually dying, you can solve it by using debug mode to heal yourself.
