HMS Lyrah

Description
Fictional History
The HMS Lyrah was built in 1793 in Aberystwyth Harbour in Wales by Jerry & Gold Ship Building LTD; she was the first of 3 Steam powered Tug boats of the same design with her sister ships being the Lylah and the Lymah. The HMS Lyrah was designed to help the increasingly popular steam powered transatlantic ships dock in Britain, a challenge she succeeded in.

In the winter of 1802 she collided with the PS Linn in the fog despite her lights blaring and whistle screeching the PS Linn didn't notice her; and was swiftly T-Boned by the HMS Lyrah. Lyrah suffered substantial damage to her bow and limped back to port where she was refitted with fancy new electric anchor mooring lines as well as a large mast with additional spotlights to ensure such an accident doesn't happen again.

In the Late Summer of 1812 she was moved to the Clyde river in Glasgow to assist in guiding the PS Comet through the river Clyde onto her maiden voyage. Though the PS Comet was no large vessel its owner Henry Bell feared damage to the ship within the murky waters of the Clyde.

Lyrah saw service until 1847 at which time she was sold to the Ottomans who quickly turned her into scrap; but she forever remains in our hearts.

Start Up
1. Open the Air shutoff valve at the top of the boiler in the engine room
2. Open the Furnace lid; there you will find the Light Furnace key button.
3. Set Temperature of the Furnace to 175 and wait for the boiler to heat up to 101
4. Toggle the button labelled "Sync Telegraph with Helm" located underneath the Telegraph.
5. Head towards the wheelhouse and once sufficient pressure has built (recommended 1 bar) you may set the speed to your desired outcome.
Please note that if you leave it on Slow speed; it will take some time for the pistons to start moving; this can be fixed with patience or use of the handcrank in the engine room.

In the Starboard rear of the Engine room you will also find a generator clutch; this will only charge the vessel when shes moving but she should have enough power to last you for whatever needs you have.
