Description
The Sidewinder
The Sidewinder was crafted during the heyday of the interstellar rush — an era marked by fierce competition among factions seeking to harness the untapped resources of alien waters. Born in the shipyards of the old Coalition, one yet undivided by separatists, the Sidewinder emerged as one of the main vessels of the faction's deep-sea operations, be it mining or raiding.

Recommended crew size: 6-10.
Recommended crew experience: Experienced.

The Sidewinder is a ship that encourages teamwork due to the unique shape of the ship and it's utilities:
  1. DE Thunderball. A periscope-controlled drone made to assist the diver team on their missions which features such things as:
    • 4 compartments with 8 item slots in total to help with scavenging and mining.
    • Long-ranged searchlight to light the way in the dark caves for the whole team.
    • A sensory-based electrical coil defense system made to protect DE Thunderball from incoming threats (may only be used with no humans in an 8 meter radius).
  2. 5 WiFi-connected terminals throughout the ship to make sure our husked buddies don't feel left out without their voice and radio chats!
  3. One of the gun periscopes is located in the terminal room, forcing the captain in most situations to help defending the top half of the ship.
  4. Depth charges require captain's guidance for an accurate shelling since the gunnery room possesses no terminal to look for themselves.
  5. Anti-ballast flora system, used to turn off automatic pump control and, if needed, the relay which feeds pumps the power. Requires cooperation from the crew and the captain, as to activate it you have to pull down 2 levers (first one is located in the terminal room, while the second one is right next to the moonpool area). Two light components near each lever represent if the automatic control or the overall power have been shut down.
  6. Automatic Reactor control has been put in place beforehand. To change the memory components data in case of a reactor upgrade, look for it on the second floor of the Reactor Room, behind boxes on the left (was hidden to make it harder for griefer to mess around with it).
  7. Nav Terminal has a reactor shutdown feature to prevent griefers from causing a meltdown and the subsequent explosion.
