Firearms B41 Rifles, Pistols and Revolvers Tweak

Description
If you've noticed that when playing around with bolt action rifles like RugerM77 and M24, very often 1 shot isn't enough to kill a zombie, even with high level in aiming. It makes the weapons useless compared to their counter parts in semi-automatic rifles such as the M14 which uses same ammo. With these tweaks I'm aiming to make it so that if I land a shot on a zombie it's a nearly guaranteed kill at high level in aiming.
Also some changes to some handguns for my personal preference (most of it is slight increase in damage and crit chance)
I've been changing the values manually for my own use for a while now but it is very tedious when you join a friend's server and you have the incorrect values/files so I made this mod to make life easier for myself and others who might be interested.

Values changed are as goes [old values -> new values]:

Colt M1911 --- minimum damage [0.75 -> 1] / Critical chance [20 -> 25]
Desert Eagle --- min. dmg. [0.75 -> 1] / CC [20 -> 25]
Glock --- Sound [70 -> 60] / CC [20 -> 25]

M625 --- min. dmg. [0.75 -> 1] / CC [20 -> 25]
SW29 --- min. dmg. [0.75 ->1] / CC [20 -> 30]
Colt Python --- min. dmg. [0.75 -> 1] / CC [20 -> 25]
Colt Python Hunter --- min. dmg. [0.75 -> 1] / CC [20 -> 25]
Colt Anaconda --- min. dmg. [0.75 -> 1] / CC [20 -> 25]

Remington Model 700 --- min. dmg. [0.75 -> 2] / max. dmg. [2.5 -> 4] / CC [25 -> 35]
Ruger M77 --- min. dmg. [1 -> 4] / max. dmg. [3 -> 6] / CC [30 -> 40]
M24 --- min. dmg. [1 -> 4] / max. dmg. [3 -> 6] / CC [25 -> 40] / Hit Chance [27 -> 30]

TL:DR is most weapons have a damage buff and critical buff, with bolt action rifles *hopefully* becoming more playable with high level aiming.

This is my 1st ever attempt at uploading a workshop item on Steam.
Thank you to Hyzo for creating this great vanilla friendly firearms mod! All props to him.
This mod was initially created for personal use but I will leave it here for anyone that wants these tweaks easily.
I recommend this mod made by Inpo the ED that will completely rebalance ARs and SMGs which pairs well with this mod: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2855773771

@Chalky I'm not that active in zomboid right now but if I have some spare time I'll try to look into it.

I know this sound silly, but could you consider adding an update one day that increases the damage of the shotguns? I love firearms b41 but the shotguns got nerfed in terms of damage so hard

@Willow Yes it's safe to add mid save but only newly discovered firearms will have the updated stats as far as I know. The ones you already discovered will remain the same

is it okay to install this mod mid save? will firearms still be changed?

@peanuttrain I don't exactly think that I'm the best person to ask since I've already forgotten most of the steps that I took to make this one, but there are many tutorials on the web that are easy enough to follow that could help you with creating a mod. I think in your case you want to create a new mod (search it up on the web) with which you will add your customised "script file" that you copy from the original mod's script folder that you want to tweak, then set the values of whatever you want to change in the new script file. Then when done, you place that mod after the original in the load order next time you play, and it should apply the tweaks you made (FYI you may need to load new areas/new items if you are on an existing save).

Hi, would you be willing to teach me how to make a mod that tweaks another one similar to this one ? I have a server I run with my buddies and I wanted to buff some armour pieces.

@Mitsurugi I personally never felt like the accuracy for bolt action rifles in-game were a problem for me, especially when equipped with various attachments, with good aiming levels I'm able to hit targets consistently. I do agree with your sentiment tho, semi-auto is definitely king when you look at it logically, I just think bolt action rifles are a more preference based weapon for some people that want to play around with it and with b42 coming along, it will for sure be a great hunting tool but as of right now I've felt that the tweaks I made for the rifles are at a good spot.

If anything instead of increasing damage, you should make bolt action "sniper rifles" more accurate. Like, if possible, make them have accuracy bonuses. The simple fact is in most situations, semi-automatic weapons firing the same caliber ammo are better than anything bolt/lever/pump action, or single shot...often times better then fully-automatic as well. This is the reason such weapons are favored by militaries. And, honestly, a lot of what goes into getting that extra half moa out of a bolt action rifle, is hand loaded ammo with expensive or custom bullets, a custom barrel, expensive optics, and often an adjustable stability system built into the gun to take out as much user error or movement as possible.

If anything the Shotguns in B41 are just way too OP. A sawn off with an 2x makes you unstoppable, can kill zombies at like a 180 degree arc. But Ill give this one a go as you are right about the rifles

@JayOleon thanks, glad you like it
