Description
Overall firearms overhaul.

Adds several new guns:
  • Glock 17 (9x19mm)
  • Colt Single Action Army (.44-40 WCF)
  • MP5 (9x19mm)
  • UZI Carbine (9x19mm)
  • Winchester 1894 (.44 Magnum)
  • Winchester 1873 (.44-40 WCF)
  • FN FAL (7.62x51mm/.308 Winchester)
  • M60 (7.62x51mm/.308 Winchester)
  • Ithaca 37 (12 ga)
  • Remington 870 (12 ga)
  • Ruger M77/22 (.22 LR)
  • M24 (7.62x51mm/.308 Winchester)
  • SKS (7.62x39mm)
  • AK-47 (7.62x39mm)
New model for the sawn-off shotgun with sawn-off stock aswell. Now possible to also make a sawn off hunting rifle.
This also changes the models for the 1911, M9, Shotgun, MSR700 and MSR 788.

Adds some new calibers of ammo

  • 7.62x51mm exchangeable with .308 Winchester
  • 7.62x39mm
  • .44-40 WCF
  • .22 LR

5.56x45mm is exchangeable with .223 Remington
7.62x51mm is exchangeable with .308 Winchester
This is not 100% Realistic but it's the best I could do.

This mod is NOT compatible with any other mod that extensively change any firearm or firearm related mechanic in the game, therefore for the best experience you should NOT use it together with any other firearm related mod.

It should go without saying that all of the changes in this mod will irreversibly change any save it is applied to, so it is therefore not recommended you remove this mod mid-playthrough.

Adds ammo canisters that you can use to sort your ammo in your base as well as being a nice source of ammo when you find them :)

Silencers

This game includes sandbox settings for suppressor efficiency and rarity, as well as improvised suppressor breakage.
However this also means that to edit these settings you need to start a new save, this is by design because I believe that it would ruin the experience if you could change the suppressor efficiency on the fly.

3D Models for attachments such as slings, recoil pads and bipods.
Removes the requirement to have a screwdriver to add and remove attachments to guns.

This mod is a work in progress.
Please consider this when subscribing. There is a possibility for things to change. Backup your saves.
B41 Build is tested and works to the best of my knowledge with B41.78.16
Please post if you encounter bugs so I can fix them.

F.A.Q.

Weapons are invisible/Weapons are pictures when placed on the ground.
Please make sure you have not activated more than one version of Firearms or that you have any other firearms related mod enabled.

Game crashes when aiming.
This is most likely due to another mod or a mod conflict. There is currently an issue with mods that alter the characters hands that causes the game to crash. I used to have crashes when firing a shotgun, but this problem should be fixed. There should currently not be a reason for the game to crash due to solely this mod being activated. If the game does crash with only this mod active, then post this in the Bugs & Issues discussions thread below.

With this mod in my game, I was unable to shoot any weapons. I went through the logs and .lua files and found the breaking line in ISReloadWeaponAction.lua. It turns out I had the Simple Silencers mod enabled alongside this mod. After removing the silencer mod, everything worked fine. I figured I'd mention it in case someone else makes the same mistake and doesn’t realize they can’t shoot—until day 17, when they actually need to.
heyo guys, I am playing with beta version and apparently all the ammo boxes (green military boxes) are always empty, though in my previous run there were plemty of ammo inside. Has anyone encountered the same problem? (Playing on beta firearms)

Can of course also happen in your inventory, not only next to chests. Just pack your bullets in boxes.

@Sinry this isnt a problem with the mod, its a zomboid problem. Its caused by a large amount of objects loading in. This happens when you right-click stuff near chests with hundreds/thousands of items inside, for example unloaded ammo.

right clicking some guns and ammo in this mod freezes the game for like 10 seconds. i dont know how to fix this i already allocated more ram but in task manager the ram doesnt spike up when the game freezes on right click

Hello. I've had this mod on my server for a long time and today, after an update to another mod, firearms started to bug.
Now when I make some modification to the weapons there is no way to remove it, it gives the option but does not remove it.

Do you have any solution for this problem?

@fabiotcm i installed this mod exclusively for the Single Action and the Winchester and i still havent seen any of them either, finally found some ammo for them in a basement where it was hoarded in lockers, but no actual guns. Do we even know where they are supposed to spawn, cus it doesnt appear to be in regular spawn locations, took over a police armory and even in the evidence room there was only other guns but those.
