For the read-only folder, you might be better off selecting all the folders within it and setting them to read-only rather than the 255710 folder itself, as that may cause issues with subscribing to new mods.
Re: the trees being hidden, does that happen when you start a new map for testing?
The best way to deal with the Workshop bugs is to use Skyve, which can help force downloads and/or copy files to local directories to prevent Steam deleting. You can also set your downloaded folders to read-only on your filesystem to stop them being deleted.
As for any missing assets in your city: unfortunately, if you've saved without them, then you've lost that instance.
also i meant hidden by other objects. i can see where the trees were placed with move it but no matter where i move them, they don't appear again (tree anarchy off or on)
The log you posted is invalid - did you try to zip it? If so, use something other than paste.ee (which is for raw text).
While you repost, can you also more clearly define 'disappear' - hidden by other objects, or something else?
