This is a total conversion mod, not just a map. Steam cannot support Dominions 5 major conversion mods.

The goal is to create the most comprehensive depiction of the Forgotten Realms setting available on PC. It's already probably there. Small bug fixes and art/gameplay improvements are being made weekly - mostly in response to community feedback. This is a labor of true love and I appreciate the help in finding these.

Roughly 1,000 new units and 22 nations, including all the favorites from the long-beloved Forgotten Realms campaign setting by WotC - Waterdeep, Thay, the Zhentarim, Baldur's Gate, Calimshan, Cult of the Dragon, and all the rest. Orcs, Elves, Dragons, Demons, Giants - lots of craziness. It is NOT Multiplayer balanced but that may open up the possibility for fair play between veterans and newcomers in a MP setting.

Many interesting mechanics and play-styles you wont find in the original Dominions 5 game are here, including new spells, big changes to summoning spells (especially elementals, demons, and celestials), most commanders have at least personal sailing, most commanders have stealth for an RPG feel along with slightly increased hit points, many familiar heroes and villains that are way OP (I'm looking at you, Manshoon!), recruitable heroes, hundreds of lore-based sites, dragons that lay eggs and level up with time and XP (twiceborn them into dracoliches for some Cult of the Dragon fun) lots of legendary monsters and slumbering threats - its an adventure!

Probably still a lot of little bugs, but it's stable and VERY playable.

Map: Really should only be used with Razorfire's Forgotten Realms Map (currently on v1.03) This map was built atop work by Mekon and several others, with hundreds of customizations focused on setting and lore. Work will continue until nearly every province has custom sites and indie defenders. Then it will be on to the Underdark...

Thrones: Use an alternate win condition - province count best. Set it at 35 and see if you can outrace the Cult of the Dragon. Or just play until you're bored and then try a new nation - they all feel different. Don't use Thrones unless you really want to - they do take away from the immersion.

Alliances: some are added but they don't seem to be working. Not sure why. Protect yourself. Lord's Alliance members WILL attack one another. Or set up a Pretender game - I haven't tried this yet...

Compatibility: Integrated for use with AetherNomad's MA Omniscience mod. Probably not compatible with many or any other mods, so use at your own discretion. Working to add my own custom aispellmod weights.

Multiplayer: The potential here will be that, since it is unbalanced, more advanced players could play alongside beginners and intermediates. There should be something for everyone. If anyone tries a MP game, I want to WATCH!

Prince of the Old Empire has sailing, Max size 3 and he is size 4 as are all the other Chariots

3. Unther is even worse off than Mulhorand. Building an army large enough to take even one province takes a very long time. One of the two, Unther or Mulhorand, is the weakest faction in the game, and the other one is the second weakest. Lurien is a powerhouse next to them.
4. Thay Darkbeasts are way too strong. Maybe tone them down a bit. Like removing 3 attacks. Dark unicorns are too strong as well. Glamour is too much.

2. Mulhorand has a tough start. The 3 God statues are very hard on the upkeep – they start with almost no soldiers, and if Cult of Dragons wants to, they can be in the city of the Gods in turn 2 with enough force to win. There is nothing Mulhorand can really do to stop it. The 3 “statues” have incredibly high upkeep. Osiris has +1000 added upkeep. The two others have +100, and together, they have 150gp pr. Turn in upkeep, and it is tough to build any kind of force as Mulholland. The city only has around 80 res so it takes them many turns to build enough chariots to even take a weak indi land.
The Gods Have old age, all of them, that is a bit strange and you may want to set their old age to start at like 20000 or something more “realistic”

1. Archons – they are very, super fantastically strong. The promotion mechanic is way too easy on them. Summon lantern archons, have them sit back and shoot till they promote to hounds. 10 hounds in a group with blessing items and attack rear will smack most small to medium armies in the game. Once they are promoted again, they are the most potent thing in the game. The last promotion with solar swords is hitting daemons for 100+ damage. Nothing in the game can stand against them. On top of this, they have a map covering teleport – that is way too strong. They are the strongest thing in the game by a very large margin.

First off, it's a Great Mod and fun map!
My friends and I are currently having a blast with your mod on Dominions 5. Personally, I find it more enjoyable than the vanilla game and the enhanced version, primarily due to the reduced number of summons and the absence of super-combat/thug potential at the start. The adventurous aspect of the mod/map is also a big plus for me.
As I mentioned, I play the game with friends; in our setup we play as a team vs all the other nations in their own team. As we have played, we have noticed several details that may warrant you addressing them.

Gotcha - the Dom 6 version has a unique update feature that will keep your games from getting screwed up actually. So feel free to swing over to the Dom6 version and download, and be sure to grab the map as well as the mod.

Steam doesn't fully support Dominions 5, so this file is just a placeholder. You'll want to grab the latest version of both map and mod from the links on the dominionsmods site.
