Swords+ (3.0)

Description
Adds 5 new swords to Atlas.

These can be unlocked from 2 new skills "Basic Sword Training" and "Advanced Sword Training".

Basic Sword Training can be unlocked almost immediately at the start of the game after the first level up. It gives access to the training sword.

Advanced training can be unlocked at the same time as the vanilla sword in the melee weaponry tree. It gives access to the cutlass, longsword, katana and shotel.

Training Sword:
The training sword is a light and agile sword that has a low durability and moderately low damage.

Cutlass:
The cutlass is a good generalist blade that can deal large amounts of damage with moderate range and handling characteristics.

Longsword:
The longsword is a heavy and powerful blade with a long reach. It deals devastating damage, but is very slow to swing and uses lots of stamina.

Katana:
The katana is a very agile sword that has a long reach. It deals moderate damage, but at a fast pace. It also gives the bearer a significant mobility boost when slashing that can be used in combat to great effect.

Shotel:
The shotel is a curved agile blade that is designed to deal large amounts of damage at close ranges with its fast slash rate.

The crafting for the training sword ends up in the wrong items (e.g inside an ammo container)

Can you please upload spawn code of this?

Couldn't agree more. I did remove most of the camera animations when swinging to make the combat feel more fluent. It did somewhat help, but it's still far from perfect especially when fighting against another player or an npc wielding a sword.

Well I would have to make the 3d models which takes at least 2 hours per weapon and converting the animations to the first person and third person skeletal meshes that Atlas uses might also take some time, since I have no idea how their animation system is setup.

Also implementing the 360 attack would be challenging since I couldn't just copy the logic from the vanilla sword and change its parameters.

Thanks for the offer, but I currently don't have enough time to create large updates to this mod. Currently I can do stuff like balancing batches and small updates, but if I at some point have more time I might add more weapons to this mod.

i have mo cap suit, i'm not sure what i need to do, but i have done a bunch of blender animations in the past. Is it easy if you have the right animations?

The dual swords idea is cool, but it would require animating that takes a long time. I'm currently working on a game full time so I don't have time for updates of that scale.

I might implement the third person holster models in the future when I have time. With the dyes I'm to familiar with how color regions work in Atlas, but I might try.

i'd be so hyped on more yark stuff like sword and pistol, shield and pistol, shield and spear. Shield bash and then pike 360 attack would unstoppable melt face in all directions.
