Squad Stats WOTC

Update August 5th, 2023
  • Added 4 new lists to the squad stats page
  • Past List: View troops that used to be a part of the squad
  • Deceased List: View troops that died while a member of the squad
  • Current List: View the troops that are currently in the squad]
  • Mission List: View a very brief summary of the missions the squad has been on.
All information about a squad is updated after every mission.

This mod collects information about your squads and displays it in the commander's quarters.

Information about a squad is updated when that squad goes on a mission.

If a squad is deleted, their status will be set to decomissioned.

Decomissioned Squads can not be reactived.

Be sure to download the correct version of highlander depending on which dlc you have.

You can change the default squad name, which is xcom, by going into the int file and changing the name.
What the mod does is the gatecrasher team will be given that squad designation. The first time you create a squad with the default name, it will link the gatecrasher team to that squad. Once you've linked the entry, it cannot be re-linked.

The mod tracks the following:
  • Squad Success Rate
  • Success Rate against each chosen.
  • If the squad permanently eliminated a chosen and which one.
  • Deceased Members of a squad.
  • Former members of a squad.
  • Past names of the squad.
  • How many missions they've been on.
  • How many missions they've failed
  • How many missions they've succeeded.
  • When the squad was created
  • The average rank of the squad (seen in the select menu next to the squad icon)
  • The current squad leader (This is the first soldier assigned to the squad, can be changed)
  • Number of soldier in the squad
  • If the squad is active or decommissioned.

yeah it was the reason for why LWOTC kept crashing on missions, incase anyone is having a similar issue

could i use this in LWOTC without squad manager? and just the one inbuilt to LWOTC?

@Housenflew, No, the issue is that the mod is updating the squad stats of the squad selected from the dropdown, regardless of what soldiers you actually send out. If you want accurate updates for your squads, you can either select the squad that has the majority of troops you plan on sending out on the mission or just create a new squad that is dedicated to filling when your other squads are down.

Ah ok, so if I just make squads that are the same size as the squad limit I currently have in the game it should work ok?

@Housengflew ok so here's the issue. When you select a squad from the dropdown, the squad manager logs that as the squad that is going out on the mission, even if you change all soldiers in the troop select. I don't see a fix for this issue mainly because it would require checking all soldiers and comparing against what the roster says. Then the issue arises of how many troops for it to consider that as the actual squad going. What if you sub out a troop? etc. I'm open to suggestions but I don't think this may be a bug to fix. My recommendation would be either create a squad whose purpose is to fill when your other squads are down or select the squad that contains the majority of the troops you will be deploying.

No worries, not sure how feasable it would be but if you could add a way to edit the list just in case of things messing up that would be great.
