Description
This is a port of Starfleet to the new Battlezone: Combat Commander, which was originally just a personal project so I could play this awesome mod with family. It is simply too magnificent to be kept to myself, so I hope that you enjoy it too, whether you’ve played it in the past and want some sweet nostalgia or have just wandered across this gem. This mod is probably not for everyone, it is not an ultra-balanced mod like VSR nor does it have a deep storyline like FE or the original game. It really is a just for fun mod that incorporates awesome craft, weapons and explosions to create an unforgettable experience.

This is not a remaster of the original mod, and therefore most of the textures and models are from the original mod, so don't expect a perfectly polished game, however I have added in some elements that the original mod was desperately lacking, such as difficult enemies and more maps to play. This is an unfinished mod (aren't they all), however I feel that it is currently in a state fit to be released. This mod is still in an Alpha stage so bugs and balancing issues are likely to be prevalent. I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a comment below describing the bug so it can be fixed in the next update. I cannot guarantee when the next update will come as real life does tend to get in the way however will do my best.

If you have not played Starfleet before, this is likely to be a very polarising mod for you. Either you will hate it or love it due to the major gameplay differences between it and the original game. Starfleet occurs on a much faster pace than stock Battlezone so build quickly or be overrun. Balancing at time may seem unfair however there are a number of strategies to counter almost every unit so explore the build tree carefully.

As I almost exclusively play MPI maps, these have been the focus of this mod however if you would like more features added for the strategy section, let me know.

There are some new single player missions that are in development so please be mindful if trying to play those


HINTS:

Starfleet is a much more fast paced experience than traditional Battlezone, units build quicker and the enemy attacks much more frequently and with a much greater volume of units. Accordingly, having sufficient scrap to be constantly building units is key. If your factory is running less than 90% of the time, you are likely to run into troubles. The key to ensuring you have sufficient scrap is getting those extractors upgraded to level 3 (yes there are 3 levels of upgraded scavengers now) at which point scrap gathering speed will no longer be an issue, only total volume.

Ensure you have a variety of defensive and offensive units will make a key difference between victory and defeat. Some attackers are best suited to deal with a large number of weak units and vice versa. Familiarise yourself with the options available and ensure you always have a reserve of base defender units to deal with unexpected swarms.

Upgrade defensive towers. Not only will they have greater firepower but also more health and better AI. Power stations should also be upgraded to prevent wasting valuable base area with dozens of level 1 power generators.

The enemy will try to "pave you to death" with their outpost building as this is one of the best strategies to advance in the game. Be mindful of these advances and attempt to cut them off.

i tried it with my brother with us as ISDF vs Rotten and well, a few things..
Rotten is WAY OP. the range of their towers is insane, like, from across the map..
the AOE takes out everything in 1 shot..
a gun tower that freezes and locks you down in place, while shooting through terrain is kind of insane..
i couldn't convince my brother to even try a ISDF vs Scion match after not being able to move for hours before he was done with the mod all together and, as much as i love the mod, i must agree. the Rotten faction needs to be balanced out with ISDF and Scion way better.
i convinced him to try it with me again if it gets more balanced
