Orca 3 (v.3.3)

Description
For the adoring fans of the Orca series, and anyone else interested, I present the Orca 3! New and (hopefully) improved!

My crew and I believe in Orca supremacy as it is the best submarine, and our hearts dropped at the lack of a tier 3 upgrade. So I've gone ahead and made us, and anyone else who wants it, a tier 3 path for the Orca!

Primary features include: a detactable drone for scouting and abyssal mining purposes and lots of additional storage.


Of note: the drone doesn't interact well with NPC AI, so try not to let them down there, as it will be very difficult to pull them out.

Actually, I'll retract my previous statement. I WILL update the Orca 3 at some point, with a bunch of features I've been writing down as I've been using it with my crew. It won't be for a bit though, and it may end up being a separate workshop submission.

For now, I believe this version of the Orca 3 is quite outdated, and I don't recommend purchasing it in an active campaign. It might not even really work in a new campaign. This will be fixed in the future, but be warned for now.

Disconnecting the drone from the nav terminal without anyone in it is definitely an oversight of mine. There's a lot of mistakes, missing features, and oversights in the sub. The remote control idea is cool, but my original intention was for it to just be a scout or transport drone for crew members into tighter spaces, or other niche situations.

For the turret override thing, it's not really something I want to implement. Same idea with the racks for railgun shells.

I've been slowly working on another Orca sub intended for multiplayer use, so I probably won't make any more updates to the Orca 3. But you're free to modify it yourself if you need.

After trying this out, is there any reason there's no remote drone control on the ship? I accidentally dropped it with the option in the navigation panel, and was surprised when i learned the only way to retrieve it was to dive down after it.

speaking of the railgun, another neat feature would be a seperate rack somewhere in the sub for nuclear shells, with a single-shell railgun loader next to it, so you can have the regular rack loaded with normal shells but if needed you can ask assistants to load a nuclear shell for big targets.

Could you add a turret override perisope for the railgun for the captain? like a periscope that only the captain can use, where when he uses it it overrides the gunners periscope for the railgun to give the captain quick access for priority targets.

The sub should come with a specially designed drone that fits directly into the hull. It's not a very good drone though, but I guess it gets the job done

ho boy, i also love the orcas nimble speed and dont get all the hate itd gets !
I wil ltry this out for sure , good job for notjjust taking the default orca but creating a new hull !

Quick question is there a specificaly designed orca 3 drone by you so its wits better its shape and does not brake design ?

Hey, I found out that the bots can't open the double doors, it is intentional?
