If the contents of the vat and the feeder are made from different ingredients, it will attempt to extrude another, and will place it next to the feeder because they can't stack.
Because it still doesn't have it's target number, it will attempt to dispense another and another, until the vat and feeder hold the same thing.
This can be avoided by setting the value of all feeders to 1
As long as tap is connected to paste network, it works though
Supposedly it gives colonists paste, just like the feeders that I do understand, but without risk of animals taking it.
My confusion comes in with how it can need hoppers. I though hoppers were supposed to go onto the grinder, then the grinder is hooked up to a vat and whatever else you need, but the game yells at me saying that the tap needs hoppers, and the tap has the option to add hoppers built into it.
may not see a bug fix for a bit even if its properly reported till one of the other ve coders can get around to it
As a workaround, make paste with only a single ingredient, or use a simple xml patch to remove ingredients entirely.
Except the part where my doctors try to manually feed them anyway the idiots.
Maybe change their allowed foods?
