Metal plate floor

i pulled the mod from the workshop folder and put it into the general mods and installed mods folder alike. it seems it doesn't want to see it, for some reason. and yes, the png is actually there. with the correct path.

@Average AMD neanderthal so it cant find a metal_plate_floor.png file? Check if it is even there. Is mod present at \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\975370\2919042512 ?That is where steam downloads mods first. Try copying into mods folders from there

@brown freighter operator Right so, an update: it seems the mod IS present in the roaming location under bay 12 games. but it is not present in the main game's mod folder, while all the other mods are. but even so, adding the mod folder to the main folder of the game doesn't fix anything. it keeps quoting the following tileset error:

not found: data/installed_mods/metal_plate_floor(102)/grapihcs\images/metal_plate_floor.png

@Average AMD neanderthal that is very wierd. DF automaticaly copies mod folder to installed_mods folder when you create a new world with that mod enabled for a first time. This is some DF bug I think. You can try mannualy creating a folder over there by copying folder 2919042512 (102) from Dwarf forrtress/mods to Dwarf forrtress/data/installed_mods and renaing it to metal_plate_floor (102) . Dont forget to restart the game. Also i have descibed in comments (page 4 maybe) how to override vanilla texture in game without enabling this mod, you can try that if it doesn't help. It even works for ongoing worlds

when i try to add it to a new world, it says the folder for the mod isn't found in 'dwarf fortress/data/installed mods'. and it's right. it isn't there. reinstallation also does nothing.

@Sunward Just created a new world and tested it, works on my end. Maybe some other mod is overriding this mod's texture? Try creating a new world with no other mods, only this one, and embark with ingots. Also on page 4 in comments I described a process of replacing vanilla texture with one from this mod, you can try that (though it won't help if another mod is overriding it)

This should work alongside a mod that swaps out engraving textures right?
