Salamander civilization

Description
Adds a new civilization of salamander people called the salamandra to your world.

Salamandra live in tropical climates, being poikilotherms (look it up). Their scales come in a wide variety of colors, with males having warmer colors than females, though this is not universal. They are also excellent climbers.

Their art and religion tends to center around fire. They live short lives, so it's not uncommon to see long lines of short lived rulers in their civilizations. This also makes them prone to turning to necromancy, which is always fun.

They settle in forest retreats similar to those of the elves, preferring to live in outdoors, though that doesn't mean they are unable to build with stone, as they build monasteries to worship their gods. They can be found in tropical biomes, where their cold blood is not a problem, though they travel far from this areas to trade if they need to. Their main exports when they visit your fort will be fruits and wood.

Salamandra culture values independence and fairness. They don't care much for written law, preferring to pass judgement on their own personal values. They are very harsh on any act they consider evil, and may go to war to end it if their neighbors partake on it.

The salamandra may seem weak at first glance, due to their lack of access to resources and their short lifespans making it hard for them to become good warriors, but they have some secret weapons. For once, their bite is mildly poisonous and can make them more dangerous than they appear. But most importantly, they have tamed wyvers. These flying lizards are about the size of a horse and can breathe fire, though nowhere near as dangerous as a dragon's. They can still be dangerous opponents if you find yourself on their wrong side.

When I originally made this creatures I intended to play them in adventure mode, and to see what they got up to in legends. But it's always good to have more peoples to interact with in fortress mode. I hope they bring some fun (and maybe !!FUN!!) to your games if you choose to download them.

They aren't playable in fortress mode. You can make them so by adding the missing [ to SITE_CONTROLABLE in their files, but a lot of gameplay features related to the nobility will be missing.

I named them Salamanders after the fire lizards from fantasy stuff, I wasn't thinking of real salamanders. I guess it would make sense to give them regeneration but with how that works in the game it would be weird and not really match how they work irl.

They are already resistant to fire. Giving them regeneration should be possible I don't think it fits them well. Would also make them to powerful I think.

could they be made to be fire resistant and or have a high level regeneration
