[DISCONTINUED BECAUSE IN GAME NOW] Named Map Markers

You can finaly name the points you draw on the map!


With Eraser Enhanced you can also clear everything exept these points from the map. Pretty cool :)

ATTENTION: You input is locked as long as the pointer Tool is selected. This is neccessary to destinguish between an intended name for the point and just moving around on the map. For future updates I hope to get the mouse input working while drawing

What does it do?

This Mod allows you to set custom names for your points. No more "Point 1" if you don't want to.

How do I use it?

1. Select the vanilla point marker tool
2. Type the text you want the point to have
3. Click where you want to set the point (just like in vanilla)

Select the Pointer Tool type the text you point should hold. The name will be applied when placing the point. If you don't type anything, the point will still be named "Point <Index>: <currentDateTime>".


Check out Eraser Enhanced if you don't want to delete every single drawing on the map by hand

Shame discontinued. The most useful thing was the " If you don't type anything, the point will still be named "Point <Index>: <currentDateTime>"." feature.....

Do you have any other mods installed that have influence on the map or map tools?
The extra buttons are from the TDC Mod by Freekoly

I couldn't get this to work either. nor I was able to make the enhanced eraser work for me. by the way what are those extra buttons on your map tools? another mod of your own? T

Sorry to hear that. I don't know what it is but the game seems to not load it correctly sometimes. Since there was no uboat update, I can't quite point out what the issue is

I could only get this to work by putting it at the top of my mod list and even then it would stop working again mid-game.

Hast du irgendeine andere Mod installiert in der Zeit?
Da kein U-Boat update kam denke ich nicht dass es an der Mod liegt. Evtl mal den Cache löschen.

Huhuu bis gestern funktionierte die Mod einwandfrei. Seit gestern wenn ich auf das market Symbole klicke passiert nichts mehr. Ich kann kein Marker auf der Karte setzen, geschweige den was schreiben. Hab nach mehreren versuchen gestern, das Spiel heute komplett deinstalliert und neu installiert. Wenn ich als einzigste Mod den Named Marker nutze hab ich genau das selbe Problem wie oben beschrieben.

Hat jemand eine Lösung das ich die Mod wieder nutzen kann?

It would be nice if you could add a shortcut to start and stop the writing feature. Too many of my waypoints are called "waas", "ssssd", "aw" and so on.

@FSVRandy597 Thanks for the hint :) I don't know whats happening there. I noticed that during development 1-2 times. However, there were no errors or logs that pointed to a bug in the mod. I guess the game is just inconsistant some times
