Thank you for buying the blueprint for the IAR 317, a light attack helicopter that has 6 atgms, 2 aam, 2 autocannons and 6 unguided rocket pods, it's light fast but like paper, however it can withstand some shots if they are light autocannon ones. It has a fully working copilot however the ze gyro is present only for the pilot, the atgms are operated by copilot the rest of the armament by the pilot. This is a 1:1 recreation



-Must be noted: the helicopter is default into economic mode where only (0.55 | 0.6 | 0.7) throttle work, to deactivate that deactivate the key button which is under the right canopy open button.

Startup
1. Get into pilot seat
2. It's very easy to use, just try all buttons :)
3. Put throttle into keypad 0.55 or whatever u want (economic mode by default use throttles that look like this 0.55 0.6 0.7, there is a key button to deactivate economic mode, also there is a fpe button to extinguish the helicopter.
4. To get into attack mode enter manual mode, mouse aim, switch main screen, trim collective to at least 15% and start blasting.

History

The IAR 317 Airfox was an attempt by IAR to make an attack helicopter out of the IAR 316. Equipped with the same license-produced Turbomeca Artouste IIIB turboshaft, the IAR 317 featured a stepped two-seat armored cockpit for the pilot and the gunner. The tail boom and rear fuselage was almost identical to the 316. Stub wings mounted on either side of the airframe allowed for the carriage of weapons, including rocket pods, machine guns, and anti-tank missiles. Only one prototype was built. It participated in the 1985 Paris Air Show.

The IAR 317 Airfox was a top achievement of the Romanian military aviation industry from the mid-1980s. The only attack helicopter ever built by Romania had very good performances since the first manufactured prototypes and the model could have been substantially improved. Unfortunately, the game of interests made it too easy to give up this weapon that could have brought Romania a lot of money and corresponding prestige.



The aircraft company from Ghimbav made many high-performance aircraft, but this one promised to be "Top Gun", according to Commander Miron Rândetean. "First of all, it is the merit of our design engineers, because they thought of making the Alouette helicopter, by changing the structure's allure - they made tandem type seats, typical for attack helicopters - the only Romanian attack helicopter. This helicopter would have had a very nice future, if it had been supported. It passed all the tests, including the vibration ones, and all that was left was to re-engine the helicopter, as it was much heavier now, with weapons on it. We would have had our own attack helicopter which we can say would have come very, very close to the qualities of the American attack helicopters", stated Commander Miron Rândetean, the longest-serving test pilot, retired from the race at 70 years, notes Adevărul.ro.

The commander says that, for example, the Puma naval helicopter is continuously improved and has reached much better performances than the first devices made.



According to the military pilot, the same would have happened to Airfox. The tests that the attack helicopter successfully passed were extremely difficult and complex. "The pointing program was extraordinarily complex and difficult from the point of view of piloting. The commander of the Queen Maria took me to the control tower of the ship and showed me an extremely thick file, in which were listed all the helicopters that have been targeted since the existence of this frigate. Next to each helicopter, the pointing performance, i.e. the total wind, was written. The best performance belonged to the Lynx helicopter. I remember even now that it was 42 knots. In the program, we had 38 nodes. I went down and talked to the engineering team and asked my colleagues to do the test at 43 knots. The ship, with Rolls Royce engines, could reach a maximum of 43 knots and special approvals were needed to proceed at this speed, because the consumption was huge. I obtained the approvals and performed the test. I executed the aiming flight in maximum safety and with millimeter precision, because I had a video camera under the helicopter that filmed the harpoon where it enters the grid. And the grid had a white circle, with a diameter of 25 centimeters. In that circle I stuck the harpoon!", the commander also told.



Copilot help
-Both the pilot and copilot have something called manual mode (if any is activated the manual mode is on).
-When manual mode is activated yaw lock and alt hold can be set and the copilot can take control.
-Camera modes are also possible in manual mode.
-Autopilot isn't possible in manual mode.

The throttle system was remade, making it very user friendly, the economic mode button has been changed and from now on every time you switch between eco or non eco you will get the minimum / maximum throttle (For example if you switch from 100% / 90% / 80% normal throttle to economic you will get 70%, but if you switch from 55% / 60% / 70% economic throttle you will get 80% normal throttle). You can change throttle using a push arrow button rather than a keypad, also the hud got a radar rangefinder for helicopter to helicopter dogfight and a no range mode which keeps the crosshair on the middle of the screen.
