Description

This mod adds some new settings to rimworld. It allows you to individually set a customized size range for all pawns and animal sizes. This change is strictly cosmetic and alters no other statistics of the pawn or animal.

You can also enable functional changes as well. By enabling "Also modify actual bodysize" in the mod config you will also alter the "body size" stat. This affects things like calculating meat amount, leather amount, carry capacity and various other stats. It can also be used in other mods for all sorts of reasons. Basically since this setting modifies the body size stat, it will be included in those types of calculations.

You can enable the "Also modify health scaling" to make pawns health pool be affected by bodysize as well. This affects how much damage each pawn and their bodyparts has. There is also the "Also modify melee damage" that makes all melee attacks damage scale with the changed body-size.

Mod-settings
  • Can set a blanket default setting for everything
  • Sizes can range from 10% to 200% of normal size
  • Affect the actual body size-stat
  • Affect the health factor
  • Affect the hunger rate
  • Affect melee damage factor
  • Affect melee dodge chance
  • Affect animal resource yield
  • Affect humanoid lactation (Biotech)
  • Ignore mechanoids
  • Ignore vehicles from Vehicle Framework
  • Search filter for when you are looking for a specific pawn/animal or mod-name
  • Shows the mod name the pawn/animal came from

Should work with most if not all pawn and animal mods
Load order should not matter as all calculations are done after game-start.
There are debug-options to change the sizes of pawns manually.

Also, Mute made a Biotech gene mod for body-sizes: Body Size Genes

Is it possible to change stats without changing size visually?

Thank you for your work. I'm really amazed by that mod. It's great and my current run wouldn't be the same without it.

@Eclipse Yes, that is the separate gender slider in the options

I mean an option for randomised redistribution of body size of male pawns in average leaning towards bigger values and smaller for females

@Eclipse Could you explain that a bit?

Is it possible to make the likelihood of body size gender weighted?

Mod is awesome. Thanks a lot for your work! Now I can roleplay my main Imperial General like he is some sort of Baron Harkonnen (not as evil though). :happy_yeti:

Hi! All my apologies for this stupid question: but how exactly do I change my pawns' size? Lol. I mean I found Varied Body Sizes' menu within the mod options menu, but I can't concretely understand how to change my pawn's size? Thanks

EDIT: Just found it, it's within the developer menu, which I don't usually use or think of. Sorry for the post but I hope it'll help some people.
