The Kelchis Collective Faction Pack

Description
A mid-tier faction pack that can spawn in the Naonite, Trinium, and Xanion regions.

While each ship is shielded, care was taken when creating each design not to fully armor each ship. The same is true for integrity field coverage. This prevents the ships from feeling extraordinarily challenging compared to the randomly generated factions you may run into. (They are still harder to kill, but not an order of magnitude harder.)

Note that the player-usable workshop variants of ships in this pack (linked below) have full integrity field coverage and are generally much stronger than their faction pack counterparts.

As of version 1.3 (Nov 27, 2022) this pack contains the following ships and stations:

- Dagda, Kelchis Destroyer (2 variants, 10-slot)
- Boudica,Kelchis Frigate (Two variants, 6-slot and 8-slot)
- Cordelia, Kelchis Medium Carrier (9-slot)
- Gundarson, Kelchis Medium Industrial Miner (Two variants, 8-slot)
- Bjartur, Kelchis Freighter (Five variants)

- Kelchis Station (Generic, three variants)
- Kelchis Mine
- Kelchis Equipment Dock
- Kelchis Repair Dock (Two variants)
- Kelchis Resource Depot (Two variants)
- Kelchis Shipyard (Two variants)

- Kelchis Fighter (Five variants)

If you are looking for an early game faction pack (Iron and Titanium regions) please see the Rusters Faction Pack.

If you are looking for a late game (Xanion up to Avorion) faction pack please see the JWI Faction Pack.

The Rusters faction pack, the Kelchis Collective faction pack, and the JWI Faction Pack are all receiving regular updates until the end of 2022.

Note to those who want to get the Blueprint of ships a different way then copy paste files or subscribing.
Note:
You will Make the faction that has these ships angry.

Make a boarding ship with lots of boarding shuttles, get the desired ship to 30% hull or less (NOT ZERO). Board the ship, taking it over, go to build menu as the ship once it is yours, and SAVE design.

Yes you might need to redesign/fix some issues, but its saved to your files now.

It's also possible to use the ships in this faction pack without copy/pasting the blueprint files.


You can subscribe to each ship individually if they are posted on the workshop. If the author of the factionpack has uploaded each ship individually, you can subscribe to them individually. Not all faction pack authors have done this.

In the case of this faction pack I'll work to upload each design individually to make this possible for you. You should be able to click on the name of each ship in the Steam workshop's faction pack's description to be hyperlinked to the workshop page for that ship.

The base game doesn't include the ability to play as a faction pack, no.

You can however accomplish your goal by getting your hands on the blueprints for each ship or station included in the faction pack. There's a few ways to do this.

By default the blueprint files for each ship in this faction pack can be found in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\445220\2859765330

If you copy and paste each .xml, .meta, and .png file from this folder into your Avorion ships folder:

C:\Users\ (local user) \AppData\Roaming\Avorion\ships <-- (replace "local user" with your own Windows user)

Then you will see each ship in this faction pack available to you in the ship builder in-game.

Note that AppData may be a hidden folder and may not be visible to you depending on your Windows permissions.

Appreciate the work you have put into these models. Is there a way to play as the factions ?
