Champions of Chaos Expanded

Description
Description
This mod expands the hero and lord rosters of all of the Warriors of Chaos factions.
  • Archaeon, Kholek, Be'lakor, Sigvald: Herald of Khorne, Herald of Nurgle, Herald of Tzeentch, Herald of Slaanesh, Exalted Bloodthirster, Exalted Great Unclean One, Exalted Lord of Change, Exalted Keeper of Secrets, Bloodreaper, Plagueridden, Iridescent Horror, Alluress, Cultist of Khorne, Cultist of Nurgle, Cultist of Tzeentch, Cultist of Slaanesh, Bloodspeaker (not for Sigvald)
  • Valkia: Herald of Khorne, Exalted Bloodthirster, Bloodreaper, Cultist of Khorne
  • Festus: Herald of Nurgle, Exalted Great Unclean One, Plagueridden, Cultist of Nurgle
  • Vilitch: Herald of Tzeentch, Exalted Lord of Change, Iridescent Horror, Cultist of Tzeentch
  • Azazel: Herald of Slaanesh, Exalted Keeper of Secrets, Alluress, Cultist of Slaanesh
Herald lords are available by default and can 'evolve' into the Exalted Greater Daemons at level 15, the same as in monogod factions.

Daemon Heroes and Cultists are unlocked for recruitment via technology for all characters, with the CoC lords having much quicker access to them than Undivided lords. Once the relevant technology is researched, you will also need to construct the correct buildings to recruit those heroes and increase the maximum limit. You will not see which buildings unlock which heroes until you complete the research for that hero. Once that is complete, you can check your building browser to see updated icons and flavor text specifying recruitment parameters.

All Daemon lords, heroes, and the cultists now have the passive authority granting skill seen on WoC characters.

Mixu's Unlocker IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED WITH THIS MOD AS SEVERAL OF THE UNITS WILL NOT APPEAR RECRUITABLE WITHOUT IT

Known Issues
Known Issues
  • Organization of heroes seems random. This is simply how the heroes are sorted by the game systems due to how they are labeled behind the scenes. There is no changing this.
  • 8/20 Update: naming of hero recruitment categories appears broken. I will look into this eventually, but its a low priority right now.
  • 8/20 Update: All Cultist heroes lack a target settlement action. This is a result of how they function within the Monogod races to spread cults. This feature is not available for the Warriors of Chaos.

This mod seems to be conflicting with the Legendary Characters mod. It's causing some character models from that mod to be replaced with other, unrelated models in the campaign. Disabling this mod fixes the issue. Hope this helps!

@Saronan
They establish cults as part of their monogod races where cults are a mechanic. that's not a mechanic the warriors of chaos have. Doing that is well outside the scope of this mod.

But in-game cultists' tooltips shows that they can establish cults. Is this a bug or it's intended?
Thank you for answer!

Does anyone know if this mod is compatible with SFO? I don't have buldings which give these heroes:(

Personally I think it makes a lot of sense for Warrior of Chaos to gain access to Daemon heroes a little later than the Daemon factions. It seems like a sensible delay for the mortal factions, just as it is harder to recruit daemonic forces into their armies.

And really, it doesn't end up being a big drawback anyway. WoC have multiple ways to gain population surplus quickly (e.g. salt resource, nurgle gift), so it really shouldn't take long to get to tier 3 anyway. By the time you get the necessary research done, a player will almost certainly have several tier 3 (if not tier 4 and 5) dark fortresses to recruit from.

still disagree but i understand your argument, thx man. athough maybe a little overpowered if spoiled, I feel is way more fun to have them earlier as CA is doing. Nice mod nevertheless.
