Teclis can FLY (Levitate)

Description
The Tyrion and Teclis Omnibus (Warhammer Chronicles)

"He cast his mind back to his first flight on Silver Wing’s back, when he had tried to derive a spell of levitation from first principles. It was time to put that spell to the test. He summoned more power to him, and stepped upwards as if walking on an invisible stair."

"Teclis drew upon the winds of magic again. He leapt upwards into the sky above the army, his aura glowing around him like that of a god."

"With Moon Staff and Sword, I am master of magics and shaper of fates. Destiny beckons and I must heed the call."

IMPORTANT
This mod will remove both his Horse and Phoenix mount.

CA put him on an arcane phoenix that’s totally out of character and never even mentioned in the books. It would make way more sense for him to levitate, like in the lore, with a boost to his spell mastery instead.

If you want to know more about his lore, click here. I pulled more quotes from the Warhammer books showing when he used levitation and explaining why he couldn't ride animals.

Features
  • New animations for Teclis
  • Levitation automatically granted at level 18
  • New lore-friendly abilities in the Campaign. see here[warhammerfantasy.fandom.com]

OMG MOD THANK U SO MUCH !

@Imperial Obligation: Ah totally fair I get you now!

It's made me think actually, implementing drain magic like it is in the old world tabletop could make sense. That version just increases magic cost of spells for enemies in an area near the caster. There is precedence for it in total war too with the beastmen, I believe their bray shamans have a skill to increase magic cost for enemy spell-casters. Could be an interesting alternative if the current implementation is too powerful

@Stannis: Indeed! I'm happy that all of it is included! I wasn't suggesting that its presence was disruptive, only that how powerful its effects are relative to the game are. I think it's represented well, I just expressed concern over how high the values are.

@laff: Thank you! I really do love these editions. Like I said above, you really have represented the mastery of High Magic well.

@ShadowSpion Works fine for me. He just needs to attack while grounded

@Imperial Obligation maybe Drain Magic should be slightly nerfed by lowering its magic resist and spell mastery debuff on enemies. I'll update in 6.3
Stannis 23 Aug @ 3:29am
@Imperial Obligation: Drain magic is actually straight from tabletop & the lore, it's as immersive as it gets, high magic misses some of the iconic spells from tabletop unfortunately, such as drain magic and walk between worlds.

On tabletop 8th edition drain magic dispelled augments on enemy units or hexes on your units. Dispelling doesn't exist in total war unfortunately. In lore high magic users are known to be able to easily drain dispel enemy spells, it's a massive quirk of high magic!

Reducing spell mastery/miscast chance to enemies/magic resist to allies is one of the best ways to represent that in my opinion

This mod is absolutely incredible.

One note I have is that the abilities feel a little over-tuned (Ex: 'drain magic' ability especially) and breaks immersion a little. Aside from that, this really fleshes him out!

This is a great mod and a ton of fun so far. However when I have him in melee I don't get the sick lightning attack. Is it tied to a certain item or is it just one of many animations and I have been missing it?

woh, impressive! could you do something similar to vilitch on a disc?
