Lag Remover

Description
Lag Remover configurably removes gore and dust and text to reduce frame lag in intense fights.
It can also remove projectiles that are too far from the player to be relevant.

----------
If you are using an item (like amethyst staff, golden shower, etc) with dust-only projectiles that turn invisible, set "dust mode" to "show all" if you want to see them (they still exist and do damage anyway). Increasing "Reduce dust by chance" to a higher number will still reduce a ton of dust while making them visible, but use the lowest "1 in x" number you can still see your weapon with for best performance.

DEBUG Mode can be used to find dust IDs and any whitelisted IDs will not be removed or diminished on any setting. Pixies and most vanilla magic weapons have been whitelisted by default, and a few other minor things.

PHOTOSENSITIVE EPILEPSY WARNING: Some modded mobs and vanilla pixies rely on dust particles to mask their potentially strobing light effects, I'm not aware of any that specifically trigger PSE symptoms but I don't recommend turning dust removal down past 1 in 4 or whatever you're comfortable with if this affects you.

This mod occasionally removes the functionality of my grappling hook - it simply doesn't cast anything visible or attaches to anything, also, glowsticks don't show at all, but maybe that's a setting problem. I have dust set to show all and 1 in 100. Had to uninstall for it to work again.

so "particle" isn't a thing
PROJECTILES are things like the magic missile/flamelash/bullets
DUST is just graphical fluff
maybe hit effects are the green stars? I can't do much about that but it shouldn't lag that much?
projectiles are what actually calculate hitboxes and have their own AI and running code
I didn't whitelist anything the terra blade should be using, but you could try clearing the whitelist entries
removing projectiles/hit effects is out of scope for this but i'll consider something when I have time

hiiii! i need help! i lag a lot with the TERRA BLADE. i noticed that what generates lag are the "green stars" that generate on an enemy when hit. please fix this there are no mods that dooo :(((((. i tried to see what projectile it was on debug mode, but it doesnt show. i got the terrablade particle and rgbfirework particle but the star itself didnt show up in the chat. pleaseee fix this thank you!

If there are any VANILLA weapons that still give zero indicator for their projectile please leave a comment with the exact item name (and ideally its projectile id from DEBUG but I can find it) to be added to the default whitelist some time.

Updated to stable and added warning
Also implemented dust-whitelisting with some basic defaults like gem staffs, pixies, magic weapons in general (can all be deleted)

Yeah sorry, misremembered the mod the enemy came. I managed to capture a video of it for you though! https://imgur.com/a/QOpbfLu
Three enemies had a glow issue, Tainted Slimes from Expanded Terraria, Astral Slimes from Calamity and Pixies from base games.
I'm not sure why it does this either, I think a warning that some glowing enemies may cause flashing effects with dust removal is a decent enough warning.

Thanks for letting me know, i'll push a warning when i have a few.
Could you elaborate what a useful warning would look like to you?

I don't really have time to do much testing to hunt that down, can you also explicitly name an example mob (I'm not finding anything about "tainted slimes".. blight slimes/slime god boss or its minions?) and are you sure removing the dust causes this?

All this mod does is randomly delete the dust past certain thresholds so I'm not sure what could cause a strobing unless that's just baseline for the enemy and its impact is lessened being clouded by dust, which is fair enough to add a warning.
