Transformers: Generation 1 - Megatron Gun Mode

Description
Featured in one of OrionZaxs' fantastic Transformers animations! (Click on the link below)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=R6bsrB15W88

Today is the 15th anniversary of Michael Bay's first Transformers movie, that's why I'm releasing my G1 Megatron gun mode prop model on SFM as sort of celebration. I'm quite sure many SFM users have been waiting for this moment, specially people whose content is focused on Transformers animations and stuff.

FEATURES
  • Single bone armature made from scratch
  • Original human size (The prop in the pictures looks resized in order to fit the models which are holding it)
  • Three Five bodygroups
  • Two flexes (One for the normal barrel and other for the trigger)
  • Two Four skins (Original silver, custom golden, metallic silver and metallic golden)
  • Some touch-ups and tweaks to the mesh just for show and toy accuracy

ISSUES
  • The model may look too bright on dynamic lighting. Fixed! The visual tweaks have reduced that brightness quite a lot
  • As I said before, this model is on "human scale". You may want to resize it if you want a Transformers model to hold it. (An example of this can be seen on this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c07HK1724tI&ab_channel=RaptorNX01)
  • If you have other problems like bugs or glitches just make me know in the dedicated discussion thread below and I'll try to fix them on my freetime.

@Spore Cannon Maybe I could try in another moment

I've been working with Blender a lot recently, you absolutely can make specific edges sharp; separating out the face, but keeping it in the same place will also work, and probably better.

@Spore Cannon I've thought the same when I smooth shaded it. But Blender can't leave parts unsmoothed and make some edges sharper won't make any substantial difference. Otherwise, thank you for the advices and your interest with this model!

Sorry for not responding in so long, I completely forgot about this. It looks pretty good based on the more smooth previews, though the barrel of the non-extended gun looks like it ends in a rounded nub. Maybe sharpening just the edges around the end will help? Going into Edge Mode in Blender can help with that. There are probably a few places where sharpening specific edges can make it look better, but this is just a start. Sorry if this comes across as condescending. As it stands, the model's shape itself looks really good.

@Spore Cannon Select the barrel in Object mode, for example. Then go to Edit Mode, open the mesh menu and go to shading. Select Smooth Edges, unmark Vertices in Mark Sharp. As I said this didn't work.

If it works for relatively low-poly models like Kirby's nub limbs, then it should work for this. How did you try to turn off sharp edges?
