THANOS 1/15th POPgrowth

Description
THANOS_1-15th_POPgrowth 1.1by SteahmChip
INCREASE lategame PERFORMANCE

SLOWER manpower growth mod
THANOS_1-15th_POPgrowth V1.11.x (No Step Back) compatible
(earlier versions of the game likely NOT compatible
you do not need NSB or any other DLC only patch V1.11 aka "Barbarossa or later).

Less country manpower growth to prevent excessive unit spam slowing down your computer in lategame!

Yes, THANOS was that cosmic fellow who eliminated 50% of the world POPulation (manpower in HOI4) to make more room for everyone else. But things went awry when other people noticed peeps they used to know were missing.

A kinder, gentler THANOS has appeared who now only slows MANPOWER growth to 1/5th for better performance on the Universe and your computer, so nations are unable to breed like rabbits and routinely produce 600+ divisions unless they have taken over the world or something.

The amount of "spam," is now decreased, that is the huge amount of UNITS the game produces especially lategame. This spam comes also from vegetable minor nations that play no part in the war and just drag down performance by their stockpiling of unused infantry divisions. The THANOS effect also makes the game more manageable by having less units to keep track of in general.

If you have performance issues prior, you should be able to keep your game going much longer now.

NOTE: With 1/15th manpower growth rate, this is a severe reduction as opposed to THANOS 1/5th and 1/8th POPspeed mods. If you do play a tiny nation, instead of 180 people showing up at the recruiting center per month, you will only see 12 guys, which means it may take awhile to fill out new divisions, so to get ahead of the big dawgs (who also are at 1/15th manpower growth) you now have to plan around that. Moreover, events and focuses that require an exact manpower number to complete, may take much longer to reach due to the very low manpower growth.

A bit TOO slow? Faster POPgrowth mods but still way slower than vanilla:

THANOS 1/5th POPgrowth https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2794469914
THANOS 1/8th POPgrowth https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2797096863

To test without a play commitment activate one of the mods, run AI vs AI overnight fast speed 4 or 5 (console~ type observe enter, ~ close console) using one of the mods and then in 1950s, go back into the game and see how it responds to you working the map, making selections etc.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Works with Vanilla
--Other Mods Not Tested, but you should be able to use mods that change other things in the 00_defines.lua such as the Naval Historic Fuel usage / Production adjustment mods etc

If needed insure THANOS top of mod list in Paradox Launcher mod reorder list.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Version update v1.1 release
changed code to apply manpower growth changes to 00_defines.lua without affecting rest of file, which increases compatibility with other mods

Tired of houseplant nations recruiting divisions hand over fist and not going to WAR in a WARgame?
