Description
Have you been looking for a way to play Left 4 Dead 2 with the slow and tough Resident Evil-style zombies, but not convinced by the alternatives you've found so far? Maybe zombies move ridiculously, or do too little damage to be so slow, or too few, or being able to die in one hit with melee, sniper, and magnum completely breaks the balance of the game in favor of these weapons?

In this article I will teach you how to design your own Resident Evil mode. Includes animations for common zombies and increased damage in all game modes, campaign, versus, survival and scavenge. You will need at least Left4Bots and Thirdpersonshoulder RE6 to get the most out of it. Once you subscribe and start the game for the first time, Left4Bots will generate a convars.txt file that will be the one you will use to modify the game so that the zombies behave as expected in this mode, and they pose such a tough challenge like fast zombies.

Inside the vpk you will find my version of convars.txt, which if you know how to extract files from a vpk, it will be as simple as replacing the one generated by Left4Bots (the path is \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\ems\ left4bots\cfg ). FEATURES

With this article:
- The animation of the common zombies is now much better than the original when they move slowly, and raise their arms towards you.
You can alternatively use xdR COD Zombies with xdReanimsBase, are similar animations and is compatible with other commons xdR animations. - Commons do more damage, x5 times more in co-op, survival, scavenge, and x3 in versus

With Thirdpersonshoulder RE6 style:
- Various third person view modes with Resident Evil style
- Sounds of shotguns in third person
- Perfect aim in third person (localhost only)

With Left4Bots + custom convars.txt:
- Left4Bots makes the bots much more intelligent and makes it much easier to deal with this type of zombies
- One of its features is to change the value of any cvar before starting the map, defined in a file. All the cvars that go into the design of the Resident Evil mode have been separated into sections for ease of review.
- left4bots section of convars.txt: Adjust the bots AI to better suit the situations in general, refined for this type of slow zombies
- Armas section: Increased turret damage, increased shotgun extra damage range, and improved chainsaw
- Enemigos IA mejorada Section: Improved AI of specials and longer charger charge
- Zombies sensibilidad realista section: Zombies will now be less alert to your presence, especially in the dark. They are mostly sensitive to noise and flashlight, and run towards the bomb from much further away.

- Limites maximos section: Increases the number of existing simultaneous zombies, which compensates for their lack of speed with their number. It is set at numbers that any medium PC can tolerate and without problems online, but it can even be doubled.
- Zombies errantes reservados Section: Forces the spawning of higher number and density of wandering zombies
- Items section: Improves the efficiency of items, pills health are consumed slower, adrenaline lasts longer, medkits heal 100 health, the pipe bomb attracts zombies for 20 seconds, and the vomit jar is much more durable, although be careful! you can hit yourself and attract zombies for a few seconds
- Dificultad section: Here is the main section that adjusts movement speed, life, type and amount of damage enemies take, etc. Tanks are also slower, and all specials have more health. You can also bash longer without getting tired (and you're going to need it)
- Relax specials section: Space out the appearance of specials and hordes of zombies more, but remember that many maps or during certain events, campaigns have their own spawn rate and these values ​​will not affect you
- Bots section: I recommend that the bots try to follow you at maximum intensity and do not go towards the zombies when they go with mele and without ammo. Both values ​​try to keep the bots close to you as much as possible.

To fix instakills for some weapons, there are two options:

- Change in convars.txt all z_non_head_damage_factor_***** values ​​to 0, and then you can only kill zombies with headshots in any mode or difficulty.

- Use Metamod+Sourcemod with the Nerf Damage To Commons plugin, which cancels the instakills of the weapons with this characteristic, giving instead the real damage that corresponds to them. Use my version, which fixes bugs with wounds and makes it compatible with workshop common mods:

well I love the mod that makes resident evil experiences, it all worked well as i follow the directions but i can still kill commons in one hit by magnum and melee weapons, even if i changed convars.txt 's all z_non_head_damage_factor_***** values ​​to 0, it also won't help when i just simply change commons hp......
It's a nice mod though
