Modular Elevator

Description
Modular Elevator for use in submarines.

Requires EK Dockyard

Features:
- Configurable amount of floors, no limit except space in cabin for buttons.
- Call Buttons.
- Current Floor and Direction displays on each floor.
- Access to both sides at once.
- Fast, going up 5 floors takes around 5 seconds.
- Works even when the submarine is moving, tested up to 80 km/h horizontal speed and 20 km/h vertically
- Works in multiplayer!

Includes 5 item assemblies and two submarines.
- Assemblies: Top and bottom modules that open on both sides, and 3 middle pieces in left, right and both sides variants.
- Elevator demo with 5 floors
- Elevator cabin

How to install on your own ship:
1. Add the floor modules, aligned vertically, with top and bottom modules being the topmost and lowest floors.
2. Edit the memory component value of "Floor Number" to match the floor numbers. The topmost floor is 1, and the bottom floor is the highest number.
3. Extend the hull sections of the top floor all the way to the bottom floor. Make sure to select the side facing away from the shaft to not modify the inner hull location.
4. Modify the Elevator Cabin to have the same amount of buttons as you have floors. Simply copy the Signal Check & Button and wire the signal out to the relay signal_in2, or alternatively remove buttons if you have less than 5 floors.
5. Attach "Elevator Cabin" to the top floor micro docking port.
6. Wire power into the docking ports. The cabin can work for around 5 minutes without electricity, so having power on every floor is suggested.

This item assembly is amazing. For those of you having issues finding the cabin file, I had to right click create local mod and then open the file.list and change ''none'' to ''submarine'' for the elevator cabin to become openable in the editor. Using mod items I am combining this elevator with a few other elevators and drones and shuttles parts -- I'll have a working one soon. You can steal pieces of mine once its done. To get around the legacy dock yard issue, you must have the ek 1.0.0.0 mod fix applied.

I haven't touched Barotrauma in ages, I don't think I would know how the components work myself at this point.

is there anyway you could upload a version with 2 separate elevators? I want to have 2 elevators for a build im making but dont know anything on how to change wifi components.

Yeah, I was using the updated version when I posted it, Ill try to remake it for the newer version and see if that fixes it.

Probably related to the EK dockyard mod being outdated. You might be able to try it with the updated version, but no promises.

game crashes when i try to undock the elevator, any fix?

This is great stuff. Is there a way to edit the elevator cab on our own? I tried putting two of these in one sub and it caused problems.
