Southern New England

Description
This is a map of southern New England, a region in the northeastern United States. Resources are scattered. If it doesn't work, message me. It features southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and eastern Connecticut. I tried to be accurate, I really did. Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket Island and Narragansett Bay were such a pain to make.

You can recreate the colonialization of America circa 1620 or you can rewrite history! Forests are everywhere and numerous marshes. Due to the absence of some strategic resources, the military strategy on this map is very odd and challenging. Spawns are random, you could get lucky and spawn in what would be Rhode Island or southern Massachusetts. If you spawn on Martha's Vineyard, you have a better chance than if you started out on Nantucket Island (or what is part of it). Spawning on the Cape would provide you with plenty of ocean tiles and if done properly, an unstoppable naval defense. Ground defense there is easy, make sure you set up cities and military units at the lower part of the Cape. I tried playing this map, and it has a fun strategy!

Any New Englanders here? If yes, did you spawn where your actual hometown is?

Have fun! Like and favorite!!

Someone needs to make a New England civilization. if they have ones for other states (georgia and pennsylvania) then there should be one for us. i agree though south of boston gets little publicity. Proud Rhode Islander here!

@NoLevee

I don't know how to do any of that, I just know how to make maps, and even that was a pain to get on here. It would be more logical to make Provincetown a city-state anyways.

other than that, I made this map because I felt that New England (anything south of Boston in particular) gets zero publicity or attention. I find this a way to put us on the map, no pun intended.

I love it. You should create a Provincetown Civilization :-) Think of the possibilities. I can only imagine what their Unique Units would be like. I'm sure it would be a total scream.

Mac users can't dl by subscribing from steam, so they have to get direct dowloads to do it. Civfanatics is pretty much the major civ forum where all these links are contained. All you need to do is just make an account there, hit the download link on the front page, and then just navigate to whatever part of it you need to go to (in your case maps). All you need to do is just submit a new post explaining what it is and just put a l;ink to it there. Thanks for your effort, and check out civfanatics as a whole. Great community and site
