Welcome to MEIOU and Taxes, the quintessential overhaul mod for EUIV v.1.37.*.

Brought to you with love by Gigau, KJH, Firekahuna, VineFynn, Justice Fighter, Beorsferth, Hameigh, Mepper, ShirokumaCoffee, Sun_Wu, Aldaron, PełPeł, Jervaj, dgl, Moridin997, Mati, Ben, FraughtGYRE, William, Corlis, Jarkami, and the whole M&T team.




- Fifteen-hundred new provinces and counting, as well as new nations.
- Extends the timeline, offering five hundred years of history (1356-1856).
- Reworked religious mechanics inspired by Dharper's Dei Gratia, revamped completely for MEIOU and Taxes 3.0.
- New trade system.
- New subject integration system.
- Overhauled graphics and map courtesy of EOOQE.
- Completely new Estate and State Systems
- New Disease and Unrest Systems

Q: I subscribed, but mod doesn't appear in the Launcher or the game loads Vanilla.
A: Unsubscribe from M&T v2.52, check you don't have a version downloaded from the forum, and resubscribe.

Q: Are there any required DLC?
A: Mandate of Heaven is important for balancing China. Craddle of Civilisations is important for to keep population going when disbanding armies.

Q: I played this game a few years ago, but it ran slowly on my computer. What's changed?
A: Owing to upgrades to the Clauswitz Engine, and better scripting, FPS has been significantly increased on most machines.

Q: Can I play this mod with only the graphical and map changes?
A: No.

Q: Do I have to install the compability patch if I have a certain DLC ?
A: the compability patches make the units sprites fit better on the M&T map and are not necesarry to run at all, only use them if you have the associated unit sprites activated.

Q: Where do i find the different modules working with this mod ?
A: They are all in my M&T Collection.

Unit model for France is in bad shape. Very disappointing. Such a wonderful mod though.

Tip: Turn off "Game Mode" if you're on Windows while EU4 loads so you can tab out and do other stuff while it loads, without Windows throttling its CPU uage.

Buildings tab in the provincial UI is broken when opened; items are extremely misaligned (buttons, images, actual clickable areas) to the point where you can't build anything using this tab. Only other mod I have is the complete unit pack submod linked in the M&T collection.

Tested on 2x and 1.5x UI scaling

@Thomasking Did you let the game run past the first month tick? Game plays just fine after initial setup. EU4 itself takes maybe 1min to load up for me which isn't great, but that's typical for any heavily modded setup.

Mod is basically unplayable. Too much loading. It's just not enjoyable to play like this.

Is it normal that in some places the provincial window is slightly broken?

We just released Open Alpha 30, which is guaranteed NOT compatible with saves from the previous Open Alpha. The changelog has been added here on Steam for those interested.

Furthermore:
Many of you are curious no doubt about EU5 and what the MEIOU and Taxes team is planning now with the release close. More information will follow soon but for now we can say this won't be the last update, but one of the last. And that many of us are excited to work on EU5 when it comes out to bring all of you a new chapter of this mod.

Thx for this mod and updates, but for start a game, with any nation, 20 minutes of load, with a powerful PC config. I don't understand why ? The old updates don't have that problem.

Edit : Ok for the moment, this is almost unplayable as Millennium Dawn in HOIV
