Unfortunately, we have to unsubscribe from this one or there will be conflicts and things can get messy. The new one has all the same images as this original one (and more).
I will have to change the card images to look the same as the enemies with the same name and create extra miniature graphics for the allies.
This will bloat the mod but it's the only option that will work.
The game doesn't allow to change the name for the enemy art in the enemies code, it always uses the artwork with the same name as the enemy. And any images in the Unified folder always override images in any other "CustomArtworks" folder.
Now I remember why I haven't found a good solution for this problem yet.
Although the other 95 images would display correctly, so that is a general improvement.
I am actually working on overhauling this mod at the moment and I am trying to see if I can find a solution, I have an idea that I need to test to see if it will work though.
I have been trying to find a solution for this but I still haven't found one due to how the game uses the Unified folder.
I'm sick so I have spare time. I checked how this was going before I had to stop 1 year ago because I got too busy.
Good News:
I have 273 new enemy art. It's not all the missing enemy art but a significant number.
Bad News:
Realized I made the images smaller than in this mod, 353px by 500px vs 512px by 725px. IDK how the smaller enemy pictures look ingame on big screens.
I didn't notice before because I've a laptop.
I'm conflicted. Continue with smaller images for missing art, restart from 0 and make new art bigger like this mod, took me months of work to make all of these images, don't know if I have time and motivation for this, or keep the smaller art + make new art bigger like this mod.
Smaller images could be handy on Steam Decks. IDK, I don't own a Steam Deck. XD
As I said, I'm sick at the moment. So I can't reach a conclusion. If anyone could share their thoughts on this I would really appreciate it.
It's extremely unlikely that I will be continuing to work on the "New World" graphical mods. I was hoping to pass the reins to someone better experienced in photo editing, and more committed to modding than I am. I am too busy trying to establish myself as a Composer/Audio Engineer for Video Games.
Apparently Risewild was working on a lot of updates to the mod, so if you are interested in contributing to the mod, please let him know as well; he's already super busy as is!
If you need some help with orientations and alignments of the images, I'll consider making a guide with detailed steps.
Once again, I'm super sorry for not updating you guys often.
But then I remembered that Djent Djester said that he's quite busy, so I have been slowly getting images for enemies on my spare time. I have now made 175 images and still need to make another 208 to get all the enemies missing (both for Chronicles and the DLC).
This is taking quite a while since it can take a lot of time to find any good images for several enemies. And it takes longer to find the real authors of many images too. It can take from 10 minutes to 1 hour for me to make an enemy picture and credit it properly.
Anyway, I just came by to say that I have been unoficially working to help with this mod. I hope this can take some pressure off Djent Djester.
